The prison guards were puzzled by the arrival of the military doctor.
"Who is he?" asked one of the guards, seeing that the interrogation room was being closely guarded.
"He's the one who's going to be executed for giving poison to His Majesty. What are they going to do to him?"
Various terrible thoughts crossed their minds. They were certain Kai's condition was critical due to torture, and a doctor was needed because Kai had to stay alive until his execution.
"Good, he's feeling how cruel General Huron is," said another guard. They returned to their respective duties.
Inside the room, Sylas refused to leave Kai despite Huron's insistence.
"Your Royal Highness, please, we must go," pleaded Huron.
