Chapter 17 - The last mission part 11

Fiere didn't want to leave just yet. She wanted to buy more time. She lifted her arm to tap on her earpiece to contact Alyen but just then Zyloth lifted his index finger and yellow buzz ran through the earpiece which then broke her earpiece.

"Did you ruin my earpiece?"

"Yah, isn't that obvious?. I told you, get out here."

"Not until I defeat you first."

"Don't let your brother's sacrifice go to waste."

The Zyloth ,that is, Serevyn, said this in a cold and calm manner, too cold for it to be meant something else. It felt as if her brother was dead. This sentence made Fiere think that Serevyn killed her brother.

"Did you..kill him?"

"Well, I just made a deal with your brother which led to his sacrifice." He said it in a tone which was again, calm. Too calm.

The original colour of her eyes glowed through her black lenses. The colour of her iris glowed golden like a lion determined to tear down her opponent. The gleam in her eyes vanished in a instant. Her eyes teared up but not a drop of her tear fell down. Her brother was really dead. She remembered everything. The reality she had built in her mind wasn't what she thought it was.

She fought the losing battle in front of her, endlessly, tirelessly, until her subconsciousness took over her. She fell on the floor. Her body looked lifeless.

Just then , a stiff hand was slammed on the floor. The movement of a hand which looked like it had gone through hell because of the several scars it had suffered had rosen above again.

She stood with the support of her hand like nothing had ever happened. Blood was gushing through her mouth at the moment. Her whole body was a mess. She looked like she had been thoroughly crushed like an insect but this 'insect' had an attitude so she acted as if nothing happened.

She stood up and started walking towards Serevyn. Her posture was elegant , didn't look like she trained half of her life as a fighter or anything related at all. Her face expression calm. Calm like an ocean. Not a drop of her emotion could be seen on her face.

She didn't feel like the 'Fiere' we all knew. She felt somehow different.

The yellow buzz was still there , in her earpiece. She walked towards Serevyn as light as feathers as if she was massless.

Serevyn just observed, only staring at her, as if looking at the helpless struggle of a pebble on the street.

She walked a certain distance, enough from where she could jump on the supposedly angel and pierce him with his own yellow buzz that was in the earpiece. She thought 'your powers might work on you too, if mine aren't'.

For once , Fiere thought logically which was way not like her at all. Was this the 'other' Fiere that had awakened when she fell on the floor ?

She jumped and leaped towards the fallen angel. She directly landed on his shoulder and grabbed him by the neck with her arm, her other arm was about to pierce his head with the earpiece.

Just then, Serevyn freed himself. He, himself, was shocked and had a great idea. He would rather use her as his host because his actual form won't be able to stay in this dimension for long. He would rather have a host like her than let her die and he doesn't have much time remaining so he won't be able to remain in this dimension for long. So, he decided to break his contract with Taen.

He threw the resisting Fiere on the floor who was constantly attacking him.

The moment she fell on the floor, she fell unconscious.

She woke up covered in blood from head to toe, her heart shattered and burst by Serevyn. Her blood was gushing through her shattered heart. She was feeling an excruciating amount of pain in her broken heart.

She got herself together again completely unaware of stuff she had done before she fell unconscious. She felt as if she had zoned out . She didn't remember attacking Serevyn with her earpiece at all. She felt something rushing in her body and mind both. She didn't remember how but the blood was flowing from her chest. That was no hallucination. The blood was red, but it felt darker than a black hole. And lying next to her was her brother.
