BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Just like that, Alex bulldozed his way through the TVA—
gods block, gods die; Buddhas block, Buddhas die.
An unstoppable force ripping through paper walls.
Anyone who stood in front of him—
flattened.
No exceptions.
"Sir! Variant Homelander has infiltrated the TVA! The emergency squads can't hold him much longer!"
A breathless agent sprinted to Mobius, delivering the report.
"What did you just say?!"
Mobius shot to his feet like he'd been electrocuted.
Utter disbelief all over his face.
He had only just dispatched a team to arrest the Variant.
It hadn't even been that long—
And Homelander had already stormed the TVA?
Impossible!
This was the TVA, the most secure organization in the universe!
How could anyone invade it?!
"Hurry! Gather Squad 1, Squad 2, Squad 4, and Squad 7! We're stopping Homelander together!"
Mobius barked the order.
"Sir… only Squad 7 is left. The other squads were all taken down by him."
"Jesus Christ…"
Mobius inhaled sharply.
The alarm had barely been ringing for what—minutes?
Three entire squads were already down?!
"How is this even possible…"
Mobius muttered in shock.
"Sir… Homelander's powers were not suppressed."
Homelander's powers still worked?!
Mobius froze.
That was impossible.
Absolutely impossible.
No one—no one—retained their abilities inside the TVA.
And yet—
His people wouldn't lie.
"Fine—assemble every unit we have left! ALL of them! We stop him now!"
"Yes, sir!"
Mobius rushed out and linked up with Judge Ravonna.
She had already gathered more than a hundred TVA troopers.
"Mobius!"
Ravonna tossed him a baton weapon. "The TVA's survival depends on what we do next."
"But how—why—are Homelander's powers still active inside the TVA?!"
Mobius demanded.
"I wish I knew," Ravonna said through clenched teeth. "Right now, all we can do is throw everything we have at him."
Mobius said no more.
The entire force surged toward Homelander's location.
---
Soon, they saw him—
Alex, hands behind his back, strolling down a corridor as if he were sightseeing.
Behind him—
another wave of TVA troops closed off his escape.
He was surrounded.
Not that it mattered.
They were still… ordinary people.
"Time varia—"
BAM!!
Ravonna hadn't even finished her sentence when Alex's figure blurred—
just a tiny vibration—
POOF.
Every single TVA agent in the corridor—
Ravonna, Mobius, all of them—
Collapsed.
Not even time to react.
Hit the floor before they registered what happened.
Alex casually clapped his hands.
PA PA.
As if he'd just finished dusting off his coat.
Without a glance at the heap of groaning TVA agents, he resumed walking.
Calm.
Unhurried.
Gone.
In his wake, Ravonna, Mobius, and dozens of TVA troopers lay frozen in stunned horror.
What just happened?
They didn't even see him move!
This… this was the power of the Variant known as Homelander?
With strength like that—
how could the TVA possibly stop him?
A cold despair spread through the troops.
---
Alex ignored them.
He continued carving his path through the TVA, flattening anyone who tried to block him.
Finally, he arrived before the TVA's most sacred chamber—
The hall of the Time-Keepers.
He looked up, let his X-ray vision sweep the room—
There they were.
All three of the so-called Time-Keepers, seated in their thrones.
He didn't waste a second.
Alex raised a fist—
BOOM!!!
The double doors exploded into scrap.
Gasps and gulps sounded from TVA agents watching from afar.
That hall was the holiest, most untouchable location in the TVA—
and this Variant had just kicked the door in like it was cardboard.
Alex stepped inside, swaggering straight toward the Time-Keepers.
"Time Variant… I did not expect you to reach this place."
The short, pudgy Time-Keeper spoke first, looking down on Alex with surprise.
A Variant slaughtered his way through the TVA and reached them?
Unprecedented.
"Time Variant…?"
Alex smirked.
He flicked his hand lightly.
His psychic power turned into a blade—
SLICCCH!
The short Time-Keeper's head flew off instantly.
THUD!
It hit the floor, sparks bursting out—
revealing metal.
A robot.
Alex snorted.
"Time Variant? Spare me the arrogance, Kang."
He swept a cold gaze across the remaining two puppets.
"And you think you have the right to dictate others' lives?
Did you really mistake yourself for God?"
The two remaining Time-Keepers froze stiff.
Shock twisted their faces.
Several seconds passed before one finally spoke:
"Y–You… you actually know who I am?!"
Impossible!
No one in the TVA—not even its highest officials—knew the Time-Keepers' true identities.
So how did this Variant know?
