Paige's eyes lit up as she stared at the man in front of her.

She didn't know exactly what she wanted to do, but she clearly knew she needed him.

Uziel, who was holding Paige, started to feel a little nervous under her gaze.

He stammered, "Paige, you just fainted. I brought you over here to rest for a bit."

Paige didn't say a word. She just kept staring at Uziel.

When Uziel bent down to set her down, Paige suddenly turned the tables and threw him to the ground.

Uziel was a little confused. How did he end up lying there?

Winn quickly ran over and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Uziel shook his head. It just happened so fast.

Paige looked at Winn, then at Uziel. Huh? There were actually two people who looked the same.

Was this some kind of illusion?

She had heard there was a kind of illusion where if one escaped, all the clones could get away too.

Thinking that, Paige's eyes sharpened. She grabbed hold of Winn.

Seeing that she had both of the "clones" in her hands, Paige finally felt relieved.

Winn and Uziel were both confused. When did Paige become so strong?

They had no idea that it was Paige's spiritual energy radiating out from within her.

Outside the cave was a silent forest blanketed in snow.

The cold of winter had frozen everything, as if time itself had stopped.

Inside the cave, the flames flickered weakly, as if they might go out at any moment.

But each time they dimmed, they stubbornly flared back to life.

Just like these people struggling in hardship, holding tightly to their desire to live.

Paige stared at the two of them for a while, then began studying their clothes.

The design was too complicated, so she just violently tore it apart.

Winn and Uziel widened their eyes. Did Paige even know what she was doing?

Stop now!

However, it was like their throats were being gripped—they couldn't make a single sound.

Uziel watched with wide eyes as Paige did something to him.

Ouch, it hurt a little, but he couldn't shout.

He saw Paige frown. It seemed like she wasn't very comfortable either.

Since she didn't have any experience, Paige quickly turned her attention to Winn.

The two of them were like lambs waiting to be slaughtered. They could only watch as their "owner" hurt them.

Thankfully, Paige didn't spend much time on the older brother either. That made Uziel feel a little better.

Oh, wait, is this really the time to be thinking like that?

Why couldn't he make a sound? His body was moving just fine before, so why couldn't he move now?

Wait, what was going on? And when Paige woke up, how were the three of them supposed to live together after this?

The air in the cave was filled with the smell of smoke, mixed with the damp scent of earth.

In this space that wasn't exactly small, their breathing and the sound of the fire crackling blended together, creating a unique song of survival.

Besides the awkwardness at the beginning, Paige was becoming more and more skilled. Her expression changed from frowning to looking happy.

Winn and Uziel weren't nearly as relaxed.

Their bodies reacted in ways they couldn't control, but their minds were racing nonstop.

Paige didn't seem to be thinking clearly right now. So when she fully woke up, would she be able to accept what happened?

Also, what were the three of them going to do from now on?

The three of them had grown up together as childhood friends. If they could just marry Paige and bring her home, they would be more than happy. But what would Paige think?

When she woke up, would she scold them for taking advantage of her? After all, who would believe that two grown men got bullied by one woman?

Uziel felt like the whole world had become unreal.

He had just gone up the mountain once, and now his home was gone.

He barely escaped to the mountain, just wanted to move Paige a little, but ended up getting himself into trouble.

But since it was Paige, he didn't really feel like he lost anything. But now?

Just when he got distracted for a moment, Paige was suddenly with his brother.

And it happened right in front of him, sleeping next to him.

His already confused brain now felt completely scrambled.

Winn was also feeling overwhelmed, but he didn't even have the strength to fight back.

His arms were weak. Just now, he wanted to roll away, but Paige grabbed onto his clothes.

After struggling to almost get his clothes off, he was pulled back again.

And then, even more happened…

What was Paige now, a wife or something else?

Winn couldn't help but remember something he once heard.

He had heard that in remote villages, where the whole place was poor, men couldn't afford to get wives.

So they came up with a solution: several families would share one wife.

Then he thought, could it be that Paige had also become something like that?

But from what he had heard, women in those situations usually lived very hard lives.

Winn secretly made a promise to himself, that he and Uziel would treat Paige even better, with double the kindness.

Paige just kept moving tirelessly between them.

Winn was worried that Paige would get too tired, so he wanted to change things up. But Paige thought he was trying to escape and pressed him down harder.

"Paige, you're tired. Let me do it. Lie down and rest for a while. I promise I won't run away." Winn gently placed his hand on Paige's waist and spoke softly.

Paige's hands were rough, and her face was tanned, but her skin was fair and smooth, making it hard for people to look away.

It seemed like she understood what Winn said, so Paige obediently lay down. However, her hand still tightly held onto Winn's and wouldn't let go.

Men always seemed to naturally know what to do in this kind of situation.

Winn gently kissed Paige. Paige seemed to be comforted and closed her eyes, enjoying it.

What they didn't know was that with each time they joined together, the spiritual energy in Paige's body was slowly being released.

It was flowing through Paige's body again and again from head to toe, and her memories were slowly returning.

No one knew how much time had passed. The sky was already bright, and the fire had gone out.

Paige, who was being held in the middle, opened her eyes and looked around cautiously.

She gently moved her arms and legs a little, only to find that they were pinned down.

Paige looked left and right, confirming the identities of the people beside her.

Then she slowly pushed them away and sat up.

As Paige sat up, the clothes on her body fell off.

She picked up the clothes that were covering her and saw that not only were her own clothes there, but also Winn and Uziel's.

It turned out that they were worried Paige would get cold, so they had covered her with all the clothes they had. The two of them lay on each side of Paige and only had half their bodies covered.

With the fire burning nearby, it was just enough to get by.

Now that the fire was out and she had pushed them away, Winn and Uziel were soon woken up by the cold, shivering from the chill.

Paige threw each of them a cotton-padded jacket, then started putting her own clothes on.

Even though they were called cotton jackets, the cotton inside had been worn for who knows how many years. It didn't keep out the cold anymore.

Still, no matter how thin it was, wearing clothes was warmer than not wearing any.

Paige irritably tugged at her clothes. Her clothes had been torn by herself, and all the ties were broken. She couldn't wear them properly now and would have to sew them back with needle and thread before she could wear them again.
