"You always talk about your mother, but you can't stand seeing your sister happy. Hah, you really are your mother's good daughter!" Brandon shouted angrily as he stormed into the room.
Moments later, he pulled out an old photo album.
Rachel froze. That album… it was her mother's album. The one filled with all the photos of them together.
To her shock, Brandon lit a lighter and set the edge of the album on fire. "Since you can't stand to see your sister doing well, I guess this album doesn't mean anything to you anymore. Your mother wouldn't want a daughter like you!"
The fire caught quickly. Brandon tossed the flaming album onto the tiled floor without a second thought.
Rachel screamed. She rushed forward, yanking the sleeves of her shirt to beat down the flames.
It couldn't burn.
It just couldn't!
This was all she had left of her mother. Her memories. Her keepsakes.
She didn't even notice how long she had been screaming, arms flailing like crazy to put out the fire.
