'Extraction successful.' 'Host has obtained a deceased dragon and seven petrified Dragon Balls.'

A deceased dragon and petrified Dragon Balls.

This was the special item reward?

The deceased dragon was merely a broken statue, shattered into numerous pieces.

The petrified Dragon Balls were useless, just ordinary stones.

Loki stared at the items in his system inventory, speechless for several seconds before sighing in resignation.

He wasn't sure whether to consider himself incredibly unlucky or incredibly lucky.

Discarding them felt wasteful, but they were useless as they were.

Could he possibly repair the dragon?

Loki took a deep breath. 'Perhaps I can try.'

However, as Loki turned to rejoin Kurobina, Chimera Ants flew out of the collapsed nest.

He hadn't expected to find any; with the King's birth and the Queen's presumed death, the Chimera Ants should have scattered.

There shouldn't be any left.

He was wrong.

Chimera Ants remained, including someone he recognized: Koruto, his expression vacant, emerged from the nest, several Chimera Ant soldiers trailing behind him.

Koruto glared at Loki. "Damn humans! You disturbed the Queen's rest!"

Due to Loki's battle with Netero, Koruto couldn't seek human help as in the original timeline.

After the King's premature birth, the Queen, her insides destroyed by the King, had died quickly.

The squad leaders had left, but Koruto remained to guard her remains.

He was fiercely loyal, perhaps even more than just loyalty.

Loki didn't care; Koruto had killed many humans.

Loki looked coldly at Koruto. "Where are the other Chimera Ants?"

Koruto glared. "It's you! So you're still alive!"

"Are you still in contact with other Chimera Ants?" Loki pressed.

Koruto frowned, aware he was no match for Loki. But Loki had disturbed the Queen's rest, and that was unforgivable.

He couldn't protect her, not even her final peace.

Koruto's expression darkened. Loki's cold gaze mirrored the King's when he left the Queen.

"Damn you! I swore to protect Her Majesty, you damned human!"

Koruto's aura erupted, filled with malice.

White Nen turned black, an incredibly terrifying aura exploding outwards, his strength increasing several times over.

His body transformed; Nen solidified into armor, a knight's longsword appearing in his hand.

The armor, instead of being shining, was crimson with malevolent Nen.

"Incredible aura! This is a Chimera Ant squad leader?" Knuckle exclaimed, shocked.

If ordinary squad leaders were this strong, the Royal Guards must be even more terrifying.

Morel frowned. "Look closer, Knuckle. That's not his normal power. This ant, fueled by rage, unknowingly imposed restrictions and oaths upon himself."

Those on Kurobina were stunned. Loki was recruiting a Chimera Ant—an enemy, untrustworthy. Morel's expression was grave; he disapproved.

"He's going to let that... ant join us?" Morel questioned. "That's reckless. What if it's spying for the King?"

Knov agreed. Knuckle and Shoot exchanged glances, deciding to remain silent.

Ging asked Razor, "What do you think?"

Razor, arms crossed, said casually, Didn't the intel say the King wouldn't influence these squad leaders?

Bringing a Chimera Ant squad leader to our side wouldn't be bad.

Ging smiled, remaining silent.

Below, Loki watched Koruto, waiting for his decision.

Koruto clenched his fists, making his decision.

'Obey this human.' 'Get revenge on the King!' 'Make him pay for the Queen's death!'

Koruto looked at Loki. "I'll obey your commands, as long as I can kill the King."

With a Chimera Ant squad leader, infiltrating the palace would be easier, and finding other Chimera Ants would be simpler.

Loki had another reason for recruiting Koruto.

"You were there when Neferpitou attacked me, weren't you?" Loki asked.

Koruto, without questioning how Loki knew Neferpitou's name, nodded. "I was."

"Did you capture the person Neferpitou threw away?" Loki asked, referring to Hisoka.

Koruto shook his head. "No. That human was strong. He disappeared after being thrown."

He paused. "The two squad leaders pursuing him never returned. He probably killed them."

Hisoka had dislocated his arms when thrown; the force was immense.

Yet, he still killed two squad leaders.

Impressive.

But finding Hisoka would have to wait.

The priority was the King.

Loki brought Koruto back to Kurobina.

After introductions, Koruto joined them.

En route, Loki told Ging, "With a Chimera Ant, we can learn about the palace and the Royal Guards' movements."

Ging understood. "You want him to infiltrate the Chimera Ants who pledge allegiance to the King and gather intelligence, right?"

Ging nodded; knowing the palace layout before the battle was ideal.

This gave Ging no reason to stop Loki from driving the squad leaders to the King.

However, Ging felt something was off.

Loki's actions seemed designed to create problems, not just stop the Chimera Ants or capture them all.

But why? Loki was human, and furious about Netero's death.
