Headed to a safer place to hide and survive. My wounds were beginning to heal. I had no idea I could get hurt anymore until I was told so. Why would I have a weakness? Was it because I have the vessel of a mortal? No...I still felt strong but vulnerable to the light, and having that stuff shine only made it worse for me. "Why are they doing this!? Don't they know who I am?" I yelled. Of course, no one could answer that, but I need to know what happened the time I was gone.
Part of me needs protection; my head had no armor to cover my face from Ichor. As an Eldritchian, I felt like I was Part demon and Angel; a Halo over Horns. Who said you can't do a little bad for the greater good? "I guess that's the dark side of me, it will find a way to achieve what it wants, even if killing people is the way.
Through another part of town, I found a peaceful lake to sit by. I look into my reflection in the water, my face staring back at me. "Why do you let others hurt you? We are gods; you are better than a slave, Leon. Unless you enjoy it when Noah and Tamm push you around, this isn't getting any better."
"It's you! The one last shadow in my soul." I said.
"And I am here to help you, help you realize what you can accomplish with your power. Make the whole world bow to you, show them what you are capable of. Just accept your inner demons and let me in."
"I wouldn't harm anyone despite how they treat me," I said. These were the only words I gave it.
I need to shape a face, one that will hide me in the dark. I could shape it the way I wanted, because ethereal metal was under my control. From the dark corners trailed out into the palms of my hands, allowing me to sculpt it together as if it were clay. I finished my final piece. "Yes, I can just do that, apparently!"
I stared across the lake at its beautiful moonlight shining down on the water. I heard the moon was called Luna. The Sun was humanity's Sol, thought I had a different Soul. The Earth we lived on; she was Terra. Together, I called them Eclipse. And after all, Mother Nature laid a smile upon her lips. "What great big family above."
Further across the water was the house I was at earlier. Callith must be really hurt right now. I left him for two years, and I came back putting all this weight on him. What was I thinking of explaining such an unbelievable story? I hear footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Callith. He came over and sat next to me. First, we were silent, and then he smiled.
"I see you found my safe place. I come here to this same spot for peace." Said Callith.
"I'm sorry for leaving. No one should have to lose a brother. And I guess I came back and made things worse, huh?" I said.
"Just, stop. I went too far earlier. I was so upset to see you again. It was just weird, I guess.' Said Callith. He feels the water, spashing some away from him. "I still don't believe you thought, but you need to prove it. I mean, you said another dimension you fell into, you can just come back saying that outta nowhere."
I nod, and I also play with the water on the opposite side. "I will show you, but I need to stay hidden. People were trying to kill me earlier, it was strange, I even got...hurt!" I said.
I showed him the healing scar on my face, but by now it was nothing more than a reminder. "What happened! What did you do to piss someone off? No wait, you can get hurt, again!?" Said Callith.
"I don't know. The time I was gone, I learned about myself, about my weaknesses. I can even handle sunlight without getting a headache, and I learn that...um...Ichor it was, I can die to that...I think. Proven effective because it is exactly what caused this scar." I said.
"Come on, Leon. Let's head to my house and get you rest. Haze has a small medical degree; I bet she can help you a bit." Said Callith.
"Thanks," I said. I follow him back. He let me inside on the couch. Haze was in the living room, drinking red wine.
"Callith, you're back. And you brought, Leon." Said Haze. She looks over at me, noticing the dark spot on my cheek. "Oh shit, what happened, you two fight!?" She came over to feel the spot.
"No, I found him like this. He said people were trying to kill him. I want to keep him safe in here for a while. For now, I will contact the authorities." Said Callith. "I'd best call Commander Saquin."
He picked up the phone, but before he could dial, I stopped him. "Do not call him! I heard his name mentioned there. I think he was the one behind this. He and a whole squad of men." I said.
"Why would he want to hurt you! You must have done something bad, Leon." Said Callith.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. "It's them, don't open it," I said quietly.
He goes to the door, opens it slightly. "Hello? Commander! What are you doing here?" Said Callith. I walk away, hiding further into the house. "Nothing, just wanted to get a look inside your house. Is Leon there?" Said Commander Saquin.
"No, he's...not around, thought I would tell you if I see him." Said Callith.
"Who is here with you right now?" Said Commander Saquin.
"Just me and my wife, Haze. No one else." Said Callith.
He looks back, signaling to his squad. "I am sorry, but I need to check." Said Commander Saquin.
"You need a warrant for that." Said Callith. "Callith, you know I have every right to enter premises. Everyone, enter the house."
People jump in through the window, guns and flash bangs. They found me in the kitchen. "He's in the kitchen. Everyone, cease fire." Said a unit.
Too many bright flashes, I was once again paralyzed. The Commander pulls out special, strong, and reinforced handcuffs. "I thought you might have been on my side. But you lied to me, Callith. You were loyal to us. "Take him away!" Said Commander Saquin.
"Leon didn't do anything; he doesn't commit crimes." Said Callith.
"Oh, does he now? I got footage of him killing innocent people on my team. All he had to do was surrender. Got it right here, take a look." Said Commander Saquin.
"Looks like he is trying to defend himself to me. I swear, if you lay a hand on him..." Said Callith. "You do what? You are already in big trouble for keeping his presence from us." Said Commander Saquin. "Your wife is coming with us too; she has heard too much."
They were taken to Cam Corporate. The facility was underground in covered, but had two panels that were separated. They entered below on a helicopter. As soon as they got out, Cammeron was standing there.
"Here, your target. Hope you're happy! Do whatever you want with him, just make it hurt." Said Commander Saquin. He left as soon as he arrived.
"Well, well, well, look who we brought in." Said Cameron.
"Luke, you're behind this!?" Said Callith. "No, that's just my alias, call me Cameron Lammy."
