The world of Luria—a peculiar realm teeming with humans and myriad other races, where beasts roamed wild and monsters lurked in shadow. A world of magic, steeped in mystery. Though home to many peoples, it was above all a world of humans.
Each race was meant to live in harmony, and for a time, peace reigned—not as true unity, but as the mere absence of war. Yet such a fragile balance was doomed to crumble. Old rivalries rekindled. Skirmishes turned to battles, and the fires of war engulfed the land once more.
Then, when the conflict reached its peak, a new enemy emerged—one unlike any before. They came without warning, devouring all in their path without prejudice. Demons, they were called—creatures born of darkness and malice, deceivers with a blood so vile and infectious that none could trust even their own kin.
In the face of extinction, the races of Luria were forced to lay down their arms and unite against this common threat. But the demons were a far more formidable foe than any had imagined.
When all hope seemed lost, the gods answered their desperate pleas. They gifted the people of Luria with new powers, divine blessings with which to defend their lands.
The war that followed was hard-fought and heroic. Yet despite their efforts, the demons could not be wholly vanquished.
To protect what remained, the rulers forged magical barriers—shields encasing each domain to keep the darkness at bay. And to preserve peace and prevent the return of division, a council was formed: a gathering of leaders, one from each race, tasked with guiding, judging, and keeping the world from falling once again into disunity and chaos.
