Chapter 1 - True Fake Daughter

"From today onwards, this will be your new home. Little Potato, be good. Come greet your Big Sister Yuqi."

In the prestigious Zhou's living room, the True Daughter was welcomed.

Father Zhou, Zhou Ziyang, brought over the youngest son Zhou Xingxing to be introduced to his biological sister, Zhou Yuqi; The old patriarch Zhou Mo watched appreciatively by the side.

Meanwhile, shoved behind and forgotten, the soon replaced Fake Daughter Zhou Yuxi seethed in rage. She looked at the reuniting family of four, not missing the provocative look the True Daughter shot her in a split second.

Zhou Yuxi unknowingly looked away. The True Daughter's provocation wasn't enough to annoy her. Rather… her fist tightened.

Too familiar. Their faces were just so familiar that it pricked her nerves.

As both rage, fear, and worry gradually gnawed at her, Zhou Yuxi found a chance when nobody was looking and grabbed a glass of water from the nearby table, ready to wash the smug smile off the True Daughter's face when suddenly–her wrist stiffened.

The brimming water in the glass that was supposed to be delivered out had instead returned to splash on her own vicious face!

Splash!

Zhou Yuxi closed her eyes in shock, mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.

The silence was deafening as all questioning eyes gathered on her drenched figure, as if asking what's exactly wrong with her.

In all honesty, Zhou Yuxi herself didn't know what just happened either.

She blinked and blinked, her fair and rosy little face twitching unnaturally as she processed the stream of new information in her mind.

She remembered that just a minute ago, she was still there in the City of Death, sprinting through the pitch black alleyways as she tried to shake off the hunters tracking her down like mad dogs.

She recalled the desperation–THE MADNESS–and lastly, the excruciating pain drilling at her as blood gushed out of the gaping hole on her stomach.

The pain was killing her, and the wobble of her legs was screaming blood for her to stop–to give up but she couldn't. There's no way she'll let herself fail after exerting that much effort to break free.

Moreover, nothing good would come her way if she allowed herself to be associated with that madman of a devil once more.

And yet he came, his cold voice travelling from a distance away, so far and yet so chilling to the heart.

"Where do you think you're going, little sheep?"

She easily picked up the amusement in his tone as he whispered against her skin, the tapping of his breath sending countless chills down her spine and prompting her blood to run cold.

"In this lifetime, no." He chuckled, correcting himself with a drawl pull that emphasised his perverted laid-backness. "Wherever you are and whenever it is, you can only be mine."

"MY LITTLE SHEEP"

DISGUSTING. F*CK. PISS OFF YOU FREAK!

She shivered uncontrollably.

Fortunately, the scream of a gunshot was heard and a bullet pierced through the skin of her forehead.

Now, where was she again?

Right. She, the frequent transmigrator with the codename Xi, had once again transmigrated into a new body, this time taking over the identity of the adopted daughter of the Zhous, Zhou Yuxi.

She carefully studied the information in her head and quickly made her evaluation.

How interesting. Not only had she received the memories of the previous body but also the future path that the previous her had taken!

Though served in messy broken pieces, terribly fractured and mostly inconsistent, she could derive a lot of important and pivotal points from the previous body's experience.

Zhou Yuxi's colourful life truly started at the age of 7, when she was picked out of the orphanage and brought into the wealthy Zhou household to replace the then dead daughter, Zhou Yuqi.

As what's told by the Zhou Patriarch, she was there to mend some broken hearts and Zhou Yuxi did as what's told, fulfilling her purpose with passing scores.

Under her meticulous care, the mentally-scarred Mother Zhou–who was greatly traumatized by her first daughter's death–turned for the better and had even given birth to a newborn baby son a year later, whom they later named Zhou Xingxing.

No longer burdened by Mother Zhou's illness, Father Zhou's business seemed to have sprouted out wings, growing so fast that it was quick to become the leading pioneer of the instant food market.

Zhou Yuxi's existence was like an instantly-working good luck charm for the family. For Zhou Yuxi herself, it wasn't a losing deal either, for she obtained a new family that pampered her to the Heavens, becoming the pearl in the palm of the Zhous.

From then on, the wild chicken officially transcended into a true living phoenix. She led the fulfilling life everyone envied, but that all changed when one day, the long-disappeared Zhou Patriarch returned with the long-lost and supposedly dead true daughter, Zhou Yuqi.

In one night, everything changed. The once bright and lovable Zhou Yuxi was no more, replaced by a Green Tea Bitch who was too afraid to be abandoned once more and therefore crazily schemed against the True Daughter as if there's no tomorrow.

Having Zhou Yuxi as an opponent, the True Daughter was indeed pitiable.

Afterall, how could a young naive girl from the countryside stand a chance against a well-raised noble daughter?

Under her relentless manipulation, the Zhou family became utterly disappointed with the True Daughter and no longer held any hopes towards her. Zhou Yuqi was thus loathed and abandoned.

Zhou Yuxi thought that she had won; however, on the night when she turned 17, Zhou Yuqi made her ultimate comeback. With the help of a mysterious man, she ruined the Zhou family and killed them all.

That's the price Zhou Yuxi and the Zhou family had to pay for offending the True Daughter, Zhou Yuqi!

When Xi–now the 15-year-old Zhou Yuxi–recalled Zhou Yuqi's vengeful face, the hairs on her arms couldn't help but stand on ends.

Now that she had taken over the body and knew of their family's fate, she wouldn't let tragedy repeat themselves!
