Noah had already anticipated this would happen, especially after what he had said to Victor White the previous day.
That's why he'd spent the entire day making Jason drive all over the city, sending Victor a message loud and clear: 'I'm out. I'm exposed. And I'm only with Jason.'
It was bait, and Victor took it.
Jason could feel his blood beginning to pump faster. Despite the looming danger, he felt a flicker of excitement.
This was the first time he'd be taking real action alongside Noah, and something about that sent adrenaline surging through his veins.
"So what now, Noah? Lure them into a secluded spot and annihilate them all?" he asked eagerly.
But Noah shook his head.
"Nope. Let them corner and capture us."
"WHAT?" Jason blurted out, snapping his head toward him in disbelief. "You want them to capture you?"
Noah chuckled and corrected him with a smirk. "No. To capture us—"
Jason gasped, momentarily speechless.
