Arriving at his presidential suite at the Royal Phoenix Hotel, Noah wasn't the least bit surprised to find Jason already waiting for him, practically buzzing with curiosity and barely concealed worry.
"Noah... how'd things go at Emma's place?"
Jason stood from his seat, a sly smile tugging at his lips and a mischievous glint lighting up his eyes.
Noah rolled his eyes, immediately catching on to where this was going. Without offering a word, he brushed past Jason, made his way to the seating area, and slumped down into the comforting couch.
He let his head fall back, eyes fixed on the ceiling, his body heavy with exhaustion. All he wanted now was sleep.
Jason, however, wasn't about to give up so easily. He sat again in his seat and continued to ask, "Is she okay? I mean... You know what I'm trying to ask, man..."
His voice dripped with suspicion, making it impossible for Noah to ignore him any longer.
Noah cracked one eye open and gave him a flat look.
