The Zombies War had ended in the Dominion of General Bobby. Hafen, Matteo, Stark, and Pepe were recognized for their heroic deeds. News of them spread across Stribora, and it caught the attention of the supreme commander in The Grand Capital.
In a humongous dark laboratory, thousands of pods covered the high walls.
A scientist reviewed files sent by Hubert to help discover a cure for his wife. At the same time, he and his team worked on his own inventions. For months, they worked without rest.
After the defeat of the zombies, a giant cloaked figure now entered the dark laboratory and asked, "Dr. Lucas, are the machines ready?" There was a symbol of an eye on the back of his cloak.
Dr. Lucas, startled, yelped and jumped. He gulped and gazed up to the cloaked figure. "We followed our superior's blueprints. They're ready, sir."
The cloaked figure approached the pods and stared inside one of them. "Release them then," he ordered.
A humanoid machine could be seen through the glass of the pod.
"Um, sir. They're designed to hate and kill humans. Let us leave first," Dr. Lucas nervously pleaded.
"Your team may leave, but both of us will stay," the cloaked figure asserted.
The team of scientists quickly packed up and rushed out of the laboratory.
Dr. Lucas shook his head and grumbled in a panic. He struggled to speak, and his breathing fastened. He grabbed the edge of his desk and built enough courage to speak up. "But sir, why? I am utterly defenseless," he muttered.
The cloaked figure scoffed. He raised his blue metallic fist and demanded, "I don't care. Release them. Now!"
Dr. Lucas obliged and opened the pods through his computer.
Encompassing the laboratory, smoke oozed out of thousands of pods. Humanoid machines stepped out and landed on the floor.
The cloaked figure sneered and greeted, "Welcome back to this world. You are now machines and a new species of monster, the cyborgs."
Although the cyborgs had human skin, they were partially covered in metal skin, as well. They were half flesh and half metal.
Suddenly, one of the cyborgs lunged at Dr. Lucas. In an instant, he grasped and lifted him by the neck. He squeezed and declared, "I will kill all the humans!"
Dr. Lucas flailed his body and begged for mercy. "I created you," he insisted. Soon, his neck cracked and broke.
The cyborg dropped him to the ground.
The cloaked figure nodded and smiled. "Excellent," he expressed.
The same cyborg turned to him and scanned. "You are not human or cyborg," he pointed out.
The cyborgs cautiously looked up at the cloaked figure.
"Number 4, your scanners are working properly," the cloaked figure commented. He removed his hood and revealed his blue metallic head. "I am a robot. You can call me Commander Number 3."
Number 4 raised an eyebrow and queried, "Commander?"
Commander Number 3 smirked and valiantly declared, "I have already declared war against humankind. I will command all of you, The Evil Cyborgs, and make a world of machines!"
In the coming days, The Evil Cyborgs went outside and built a base under the leadership of Number 3. Just as the Zombies War ended, news of another impending war spread across Stribora.
A month after they were recognized as heroes, Hafen, Stark, Matteo, and Pepe finally returned to their home, The Sacred Forest.
By The Orphanage, Mama Bear's memorial was displayed. As victims of their foes, Old Man Blacksmith, Father, and Mother were added on the memorial.
Hafen, Stark, Matteo, and Pepe lowered their heads and thought about their lost loved ones. When the sun began to set, they entered The Orphanage and greeted their siblings.
Excited, the little orphans tackled and jumped on them.
They all laughed.
"What have you been up to," Snaky asked.
The four heroes looked at each other. They chuckled.
Pepe divulged, "We're packed with stories."
The orphans begged them to share their stories.
Soon, Hafen, Stark, Matteo, and Pepe narrated and reenacted their adventures in front of them.
The orphans sat around them and heard wonderous tales. They watched in awe, captivated by their tales.
Pepe exclaimed and acted out how Zombie Queen died.
The orphans cheered and laughed.
Later, they prepared dinner and ate.
Snaky drank water and questioned Matteo, "What do you plan on doing next?"
With a mouthful, Matteo revealed, "We joined the Striboran Military."
Snaky was confused. "Are you not staying then," he inquired.
Matteo shook his head.
Hafen overheard their conversation and explained, "We returned home for a bit before we get dispatched into battle. There's another war."
The orphans gasped and furrowed their eyebrows. They interrogated Pepe, "Pepe, are you leaving, too? You can't leave. You just came back."
Pepe swallowed a potato and blinked. His face turned serious, and he nodded.
"Who's the new enemy, big bro," Pepo stood up and asked.
Pepe took a deep breath. "Stribora is at war with cyborgs. They are a new species of monster."
Pepo reacted with surprise. "Are cyborgs as powerful as the zombies? Will there be more tougher foes to fight," he surveyed and clenched his fists.
Stark sternly muttered, "They're tougher than any previous foe, but we will be prepared."
"Then, I will go," Pepo asserted.
While holding Joey, Pepi stood up and exclaimed, "I will go, too!"
Other orphans chimed in that they would go, as well.
"I like the spirit," Stark smiled and replied. He rallied them.
Hafen frowned and interjected, "Stark, don't entice them. They're not ready."
Matteo murmured, "I don't think they could join us in the military, too."
Pepo informed, "We have been training."
"We can help," Pepi insisted.
"It's too dangerous," Pepe sighed and elaborated, "From what I heard, they are a lot tougher than zombies and smarter than humans, too. They're the most dangerous."
The orphans whined and grumbled.
"Instead, get stronger and protect The Sacred Forest. I won't be here, so our home needs to be safe," Pepe smiled and encouraged. "One day, I will bring all of you along in one of my adventures. I promise," he vowed.
The orphans stopped, and they were compelled.
"You can count on us," Snaky asserted.
Pepo and Pepi relented and nodded.
On the next day, the orphans bid Stark, Matteo, Hafen, and Pepe farewells.
"We'll be back," Pepe waved and exclaimed.
In their military uniforms, Stark, Matteo, Hafen, and Pepe departed from The Orphanage. In the outskirts of the forest, they waited for a helicopter.
Pepe slept on the side of a tree.
Stark paced around and remarked, "We were summoned by the leader of Stribora. I wonder what he wants with us."
Matteo munched on a potato from his bag.
"It's simple. He wants to meet the heroes of the Zombies War," Hafen asserted.
"Don't you think there's another reason," Stark asked.
Hafen sat and pondered for a second.
Matteo stared at a cliffside and blinked. He rubbed his eyes and pointed out, "Hey, what are they doing out here?"
There was a couple by a cliffside.
Stark turned around, and his eyes widened. He questioned, "Are they eating each other?"
Hafen snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the couple.
Above the couple, the cliffside cracked. Rocks broke apart and fell from the cliff.
Alarmed, Hafen reached out his hands and employed Telekinesis to lift the rocks. He clenched his teeth and struggled to stand up.
Just then, a giant boulder fell from the top of the cliff. It collided and destroyed the floating rocks. It fell towards the couple.
Alerted, Stark and Matteo rushed in and yelled, "Watch out!"
The couple paused. They looked up, and their eyes opened wide with terror.
Matteo grabbed them and sprinted out of the way.
Stark stopped and caught the giant boulder. He took a deep breath.
The giant boulder suddenly exploded with a large mass of energy, and trees swayed away.
Matteo and the couple were blown back by the shockwave.
As the smoke cleared, Stark coughed.
Hafen approached him and asked, "Are you alright?"
Stark nodded.
They turned to Matteo and the couple.
The couple dusted their clothes off and stood up.
"You should head back to one of the districts," Matteo urged.
The couple understood and walked off.
At the same time, more boulders fell from the top of the cliff. They exploded on impact with the trees.
Hafen, Stark, and Matteo were stunned.
"Some monster must be behind this," Hafen narrowed his eyes and alleged.
Stark agreed.
In a flash, a large rock monster landed behind the three brothers. It roared with ferocity.
Matteo, Stark, and Hafen braced themselves as the dust blew over them. They coughed, and the air swiftly cleared. They looked up as strong winds blew their hair.
At the same time, Pepe was startled awake. "What's going on," he questioned. He turned to the three brothers.
The sound of a helicopter grew louder.
"I think our helicopter is here," Hafen muttered and glanced up.
The rock monster glared at the helicopter.
The helicopter aimed its weapons and fired.
Explosions bombarded the rock monster. It broke apart into smaller versions of itself. The small rock monsters frantically rolled away.
The helicopter landed. General Bobby piloted and suggested, "Get inside."
Stark, Matteo, Hafen, and Pepe boarded and greeted him.
General Bobby greeted them back.
"General Bobby, do you know what kind of monster that was? Was it a cyborg," Matteo inquired.
"No, they're known as a golem, small rock monsters found in caves. Those must also be rogue monsters. I wonder what they're doing in the surface," General Bobby answered.
"It disrupted my sleep," Pepe yawned, and he leaned back on his seat.
With a new threat looming, how would humanity fare?
