There he sprawled unconsciously in the middle of the first floor square.
A long-haired Tsahanam man whose clothes and armor had been torn and bloodied all over.
All his wounds, fortunately, had already been healed by the forged land's power. Otherwise he would had died from blood-loss.
I remembered him as the scout whom brought the most weapons into the trial.
His spear, shield, and sword were nowhere to be seen, however. His bow had also snapped at the tip. And his quiver and dagger sheaths were empty.
The nineteenth floor must had been quite a challenge for him.
Even so, apparently he was strong enough to survive it.
"This would be the first time, isn't it? A scout returning from a mission."
Trudy asked as we were observing the unconscious ragged man.
I nodded.
"Though the odd is low, it is still possible. And this man just proved it can happen."
"I think I remember who this guy is."
The Chief Instructor said.
She continued.
"I believe he was that 1-star trainee that tried to learn every weapon technique there is."
"Did he manage to do it?"
"Not very well. He's fairly skilled with the bow and daggers, but he was not that exceptional with the spear and sword. We tried to convince him to focus on one thing, but he believed he'd more likely to survive if he's skilled in many things at once."
"Well, apparently he was right."
I told the Chief Instructor.
Trudy nodded.
"He would've become a solid raider if he wasn't caught stealing in the middle of his training. I believe he was almost promoted to the second floor before he was sent to the Evaluation Center."
"Your Excellency!"
The Chief Administrator suddenly rushed to me from the first floor War Storage.
I had summoned him as soon as the scout returned.
"Chief Rashgon, have you brought what I asked for?"
"Here it is, Your Excellency."
The man presented me with a Replay Stone.
I nodded approvingly as I turned back to the collapsed scout.
"Find out who this man is. Once I returned, I would like to know all about him."
"As you wish, Your Excellency."
I then approached the rift of space-time and called a name.
"Alam."
The fairy immediately appeared upon the call.
[Yes, yes. You want to see the nineteenth floor's record, right?]
"If you would set it up."
The fairy nodded and disappeared in her usual flashy manner.
The rift soon glowed up and allowed me entrance.
A notification window emerged once I entered the mirrored chamber.

One great thing about the scout's return would be the fact he actually completed the nineteenth floor's mission.
That meant it was a cleared floor. A trial that we could observe through the Replay Stone.
Master and I no longer needed to spend many hours doing mock battles to learn about the trial.
I could now see how the nineteenth floor's mission would turn out directly with my own eyes.

Except for houses, it was barracks, weapon storages, warehouses, and watchtowers that were scattered all over.
Emerging in the town's center square was the scouting party.

Two of the scouts were already terrified when they entered the trial.
I expected so when I saw them earlier.

A burly woman with a sword and shield nodded to him.
[That's right! You'll lose your strength if you're scared while inside the mission. That's like asking to die.]
Now that I saw them closely, I recognized them as former members of the Raid Team.
These two used to be members of Party 14 and 17.
Unfortunately, they became arrogant once they were promoted to the Reserve Forces and stayed on the third floor.
They started harassing the servants and cooks in the third floor lodging, bullying the second floor trainees that were sparring alongside them, and other sorts of abuse.
These people thought just because they had become proper raiders, they were allowed to do whatever they wanted in the lobby.
Naturally, they were stripped off their positions and got sent to the Evaluation Center. The former raiders had been replaced since then.

The mission window made the two terrified scouts jumped.
The spearman clicked his tongue upon what he read on it.
[Shit! It's a subjugation one. We'll have to kill all the enemies to get out of here.]
The burly woman shared his expression.
[I was hoping it'd be exploration and we could just run and avoid the enemies.]
[What's the plan? You two have been to the seventeenth floor. How should we do this mission?]
The Tsahanam survivor asked the former raiders as he drew his bow.
I could see he was trying really hard to keep his composure.
The spearman seemed annoyed by the question.
[You losers just stay out of my way! Or I will—]
Before he could finish his sentence, an arrow struck one of the terrified scouts.
The projectile landed right between the man's temples.
