Prowl was driving along the road with Alexa sitting downwards in one of the front seats. Alexa looked at Prowl as they both went down through the road as Alexa's eyes looked wide and haunted while Prowl was completely quiet and focused. Alexa was staring at the door and her eyes were completely bloodshot as she didn't have the strength to speak nor talk out loud. The silence was heavy as Prowl said "We are almost there, Alexa. Just a few more miles and we will be there." She turned her head as she asked "Who would be there?" Prowl soon replied "Surprisingly for once, Tracks is coming and I heard Sideswipe would be there as well." Soon they had gone through the entrance of the mines as Alexa felt a chill go down her own spine as she sat upwards. her eyes were looking more emotional now and seemed to be blinking again. The crystals were on the walls glimmering mockingly at them both as Alexa's eyes blinked with thought on her own mind. "I didn't expect him to come anyways." She said as Prowl responded with annoyance in his voice "That's right, Tracks is a huge narcissist if we are talking about him. He hates places like this." Prowl began to drive quickly as the mines started to get darker and Prowl began to use his own headlights which shown the way for both of them as Prowl went downwards. Honestly she didn't expect for his vehicle mode to fit here but this was a energon mine after all, made for Cybertronians to fit in here. Alexa looked mesmerized by the crystals as they were all coloured differently. Some were golden, some purple, some transparent, some blue and there was a white crystal with translucency in it. The sound of drills being used was heard as they had finally entered where Sideswipe and Tracks was. "Took you two long enough." Tracks said.
"Tracks, quiet down yourself. You don't have much to talk about!" Sideswipe said rudely which made Tracks looked annoyed at the insult but kept himself mostly calm as he just crossed his own arms. "You two, stop arguing like children and let's focus on the important thing." Prowl made them both be quiet as he asked "Now where is the generator?" Tracks replied to them both with his voice showing dramatic "In the 13th layer, honestly it's exhausting to get to there." Alexa now asked a question to them "Is anyone there anyways?" And Sideswipe shook his own head at that. "We checked, there is no one there, it's safe for now. But I better get going to find Sunstreaker, I assume he is by himself again." Sideswipe transformed and he drove out of the mines while Tracks also drove out, which he probably went to do his own thing as well, knowing how he is. Alexa said to Prowl "Honestly, remind me again. What did these energon generators have that made them corrupted in the first place?" Prowl told her that they originally had human blood in them which was the original corruption since human blood did not mix well with energon in the first place. But recently something had gotten into the energon generators again and Prowl had gone to investigate what had happened to the machines. It has been a while since the corrupted energon generators have came up, Alexa almost actually forgotten about them. "We still find everyone else." She said reminding him and Prowl replied "I haven't forgotten about that."
Soon they travelled down through the layers of the mine as it was starting to get colder and colder to the point Alexa wished she had grabbed an jacket to cover her own body as the air had became freezing as she tried to remain warm as she possibly could. Prowl wasn't fazed since Cybertronians were more resistant to the lack of warmth in the air. Soon, they arrived as Alexa had gotten out of Prowl's vehicle mode and he transformed back into his robot mode, his blue optics glancing around the 13th layer. Much like the rest of the mines, it was extremely dark but the ground was now wet and muddy with mud getting all over Alexa's trainers. Sounds of water splashing could be heard nearby and the smell of dirt whiffed through the air as hard rocks were in the dirt. Alexa grabbed out a new torch which she found when she was with Solus. She lit up the way as she began to run through, not wanting to be stuck thanks to the cold. "Alexa! Do you even know where your going?" Prowl yelled after her as she moved through the big mining area and he began to chase after her. Soon she panted arriving at the end of the walkway as she caught her own breath and told him "It was very cold and I want to get out of here." Prowl looked annoyed one of his optics twitched. He was already very annoyed with his own teammates due to either they couldn't take things seriously, they cared too much for their jobs or they were reckless. Alexa did run off impulsively. "Just don't do that again, your still a kid anyways." Which made her roll her eyes, Prowl was staring to sound like her mother expect he was much more stern. They saw a creaking electronic grey door and decided to enter knowing something or something could be behind it.
The area lit up revealing a unfinished place, some new wires were on the floor of the rooms, the beige walls had dry but uncomfortable-looking paints with holes in them and light grey lockers were at the far back with what looks to be one of those human ID card scanners with a small green screen, a number pad and under the number pad was a red, glassy thing that was an image scanner. The lightbulbs were firmly attached to the ceiling and looked recently replaced and an ladder was at the far corner of the room. At the middle of the room was one of those cybertronic energon generators that was currently turned off but it looked to be attached to something odd, a tank device which had metal pipes attached to it which led to another device, which was the size of a large cardboard box. Much like a printer (although it's not a printer), it had the input tray of a printer where it looks like certain object were inserted inside of there and an huge display screen which showed information about chemicals however. The back part was open and tubes from the tank where attached to the technological device. It had no labels on what company it belonged to. The extraction slot was open and under there was an open but strong metallic storage box under the extraction slot as Alexa noticed at generator, there was a metallic lever, a few buttons on the generator and there was a large pipe the tank and the generator, which seem to be for objects to go through. Prowl began to speak up after examining the generator "I heard of that something changed to it but I never expected this." And Alexa pressed on one of the buttons.
"Alexa! I did not tell you to touch that-" He was about to scold her until something was heard rolling as flowers, dead/diseased leaves, blood, small energon cubes and nectar were seen rolling onto a conveyor belt as they went into the generator and the sounds of machinery grinding as the sounds of objects being inserted in the tank was heard. "Wait, look for a minute! It seems like..." Alexa paused when she was about to say something. Suddenly the finished product finally went through the extraction slot and fell downwards into the metallic storage box, revealing a familiar chemical which made her heart beat quickly. That yellow chemical or known as Ashridas Viltain. So that's how Starscream has been making the chemical although there were loose ends. "Wait a minute." Alexa said remembering something before continuing by asking "Did you say something about how human or animal blood can't mix with energon?" Prowl nodded and questioned "Yes, what about that?" Alexa responded "Maybe that's why it's so corrosive." Prowl had a serious realization. So that's why it burnt off Cybertronian armour and human skin even though most Cybertronian were resistant to human chemicals. But even so, more questions than answers have been left behind such as how did most of the human blood cancelled out energon in its chemical components and why people mutated from Ashridas Viltain, yeah corrosion was understandable but the mutations were confusing. Suddenly a low pipe breaking was heard as the sound of splashing water came afterwards and Alexa said in an dazed surprised "I think there is someone there." With urgency, Prowl transformed into his police mode and told Alexa to jump on him with no arguments. Alexa jumped in the back seat as they drove off.
Prowl sighed and Alexa mind was reeling from what happened. She had a hand under her chin, thinking as she tried to ask a question but found her own energy to be gone as she argued "Seriously, why we go there?" She knew why but struggled to process it a little bit. "Alexa... Don't talk for now." Prowl said his voice sounded taxed from what happened. Alexa frowned when he told Alexa to shut up as she turned her head away and crossed her arms. The sound of tires were heard going against the mud hard as they slowly drove out of the mines, the chill starting to show up again as she closed her eyes, feeling the wetness in her eyes due to the burning cold and the rumbling of Prowl's engine. They finally entered outside of the mines as they travelled through the sunset where the sun shined down through the red sky which became darker due to the orange hue and the black spot remained there in the sky.
