After two days, the ones who agreed to do the mission was currently in the cave. That being Streetwise, Groove and Beachcomber. Currently they were investigating the area as they had their headlights turned on as they scanned the area with their optics. There wasn't as much light as before as Groove was a bit discomforted by the large amount of darkness while Tracks and Beachcomber were investigating trying to find clues about any sort of minor changes. Streetwise turned to them saying "Yeah, I can't see a lot around with this heathy darkness. See anything?" As both of them shook their heads as Beachcomber soon said "Well, not a lot as changed. I mean it's been two days since we came here." as Groove spoke up "Are we going now? This place is starting to make me real uncomfortable."
"We just got in. Okay Groove, maybe you should stay close to us." Beachcomber replied before they continued to go through the area. There were some changes such as a couple of small vines were seen stuck to the ceiling in an almost unnatural way and the sounds of water dripping can be heard more clearly now. They seemed to be going through a newer more tighter area as they tried to fit through as much as possible as they soon got out of the claustrophobic area. After a while, they ended up in a rather open area where less light than before. Groove soon said "So is this where we are supposed to be?" As Beachcomber nodded and said "Yeah Tracks and I went here, so we should be in the correct place." As they continued walking through the pathway through the open area.
They saw all sorts of signs such as ones that say "WARNING! ROCKS ARE UNSTABLE IN THIS AREA. PROCEED WITH CAUTION." And other signs which told people to be careful of whatever was in this cave. There was also some craved symbols on the walls as they looked like those old symbols that came from humans and a some dripstones that looked to be eroded from the water. The cold air can be felt against their armour and silent noises of water running through the river can be heard. They continued walking through the area as Groove had a bad feeling now as their footsteps hit the wet ground of the cave. Meanwhile Beachcomber and Streetwise quietly discussed on what to do after this.
It took a while before they ended up at the area of where the machine was. This time, the machine had more energon covering it and there was a burning smell coming from it. Almost like someone overused it. The black cloths were still there and had dried but there was still strong energon smells that had came from it and more bugs were seen crawling all over the energon and the machine. Beachcomber noticed that a lot of the bolts are still coming out of the machine as he picked them up. Streetwise suddenly noticed something strange and yelled at his friends "Ay! I found something." As they turned around and went over to see what Streetwise has found.
Soon their optics widened seeing a red liquid that has mixed with the energon. It looked to be human blood and it was affecting the energon due to the amount of glucose inside of humans. The red and green mixture could be seen on the floor as Beachcomber turned around "That's... Organic blood." As the three of them looked at each other before examining the mixture of energon and blood. A lot of it came from the machine and something looked to be stuck there in the wires. Beachcomber came and opened it before struggling to pull it out. After he pulled it out, he saw a wrench covered in oil as the machine started up again...
They saw that some energon cubes came out but parts of them were covered in oil. The inside of them was corroding due to the unstable mixture of oil and energon. Groove checked out the machine and said to both of them "That's an Decepticon machine." As Beachcomber soon asked "Well how can you tell?" As Groove showed the Decepitcon symbol on the side of the machine and the complex mechanisms inside. That was clearly an Decepticon machine but it was a wonder on what the Decepitcons were doing with it. Beachcomber had a frown on his face as Streetwise was wondering what to do. Groove put his hands on his hips before sighing "I told you all it wasn't such an great idea to be here." As Groove's laid back attitude came back.
"Well we did agree to be here!" Beachcomber replied as he was a bit frustrated as Streetwise asked noticing it was starting to become late "It's starting to become night-time. Shall we continue on?" As both of them noticed the time in their HUDs. It was about 19:20pm or known as 7:20pm. They agreed to investigate a bit more. After a few more minutes, they decided it was time before they heard a strange sound. They turned around hearing a familiar voice that yelled loudly "Get out of here! Quickly!" As the three of them immediately went outside of the door.
They saw that that the rocks which had collapsed where held by Prowl who was trying his best to hold them up. As they came out Prowl dropped them as they fell in front of the door and blocked it. Prowl immediately looked annoyed before yelling "Did you all not see the sign nearby? 'Be careful when proceeding!'" They turned to see that there was a sign that exactly said that as Beachcomber was a bit sheepish while Groove said "Well we didn't notice that."
"Of course you three didn't! Either way, someone decided to collapse the rocks and luckily I decided to follow you all." Prowl was deeply disappointed as Streetwise was asking a confused question "Hang on, wait a damn minute, you followed us?" As Prowl nodded "Yeah I did. I heard your plan for the other day and I had to make sure that nothing happened." Soon the four of them got out of the cave as Prowl was still serious as ever. 30 minutes later, they managed to get back to base as Prowl turned around.
"You lot are in big trouble for going out and risking yourselves. For a whole week, your going to only be doing tasks in the Ark." Prowl sighed feeling tired from people constantly getting into trouble. Soon they nodded before they decided to separate as they thought on what just happened.
Meanwhile... Prowl saw something particularly odd on the wall. It was a handprint which had energon. Prowl looked at it with curiosity and saw that it was dry. 'How did nobody notice it?' Prowl thought to himself before deciding to look around a bit more. There was smudges of energon on the floor as Prowl saw a couple of black soot as well. Prowl decided to figure out this tomorrow as he sighed realizing he now has three more things to investigate. The forest, the engine room and now this. Great, when was he ever going to be free from his constant work?
