…one day surpass Hashirama Senju. But Danzo simply shook his head.
Soon enough, he would be on top.
[Timeskip Begins]
We could explain in detail about all the missions the teams had undertaken—such as the one with the bridge builder—but to be honest, most of those were handled by Itachi. Not much changed in the grand scheme of things.
What really mattered was what came next.
The Chūnin Exams.
In the final rounds, everything initially progressed as usual. Orochimaru still infiltrated the exams, but this time, he did not mark Sasuke with the cursed seal. After all, there were plenty of Uchiha running around now, and Orochimaru could always acquire a Sharingan if he wanted one.
No, he had a new interest now—the kekkei genkai.
He was more focused on Naruto—the one with the bloodline he coveted.
And this time, things were going to get very different.
The Sand Village would not be the only one knocking on Konoha's gates with plans to destroy it before it became too powerful.
[Flashback – Hidden Meeting]
Orochimaru stood in a dimly lit chamber, looking down toward the matches unfolding in the Chūnin arena—specifically, the intense battle between Menma and Gaara of the Desert.
He smirked.
Beside him stood two other figures—none other than the Raikage and the Tsuchikage.
Both men had dark, determined expressions, but slight smirks tugged at the corners of their lips.
"So this is your master plan to bring down Konoha?" the Tsuchikage said. "I must admit… it's not half bad."
The Raikage nodded. "Destruction disguised as cooperation. Clever."
Orochimaru smiled wickedly. "My old sensei is a fool. And thanks to current events, Minato—your so-called Yellow Flash—has become distracted. Jiraiya, too, is tangled in nonsense, obsessed with his godchildren. His spy network? Already compromised."
He chuckled to himself.
"I've planted plenty of misinformation. Now the other nations believe Konoha is stable and isolated—no threat. All because of Minato and his little brat... Naruto Uzumaki."
The Raikage's face twisted into a scowl. "That brat. He's said to be even faster than me... Faster than the 'Fastest Man Alive.'"
He clenched his fists.
"I don't care what Minato says. That child has to die."
Orochimaru smirked darkly.
He had gone far with his experiments—especially using the blood of Naruto Uzumaki. Through it, he discovered a completely different kind of power—something hidden, a fragment of something beyond chakra, deeply attached to Naruto's very being.
By injecting even a portion of this mysterious energy into himself, the results had been... staggering.
He grew stronger. Much stronger.
His speed increased dramatically. His durability became monstrous. His chakra reserves felt endless. What he had gained wasn't just a power boost—it was a transformation.
Onoki and the Raikage could sense it clearly.
The aura Orochimaru was releasing now wasn't just oppressive—it was terrifying, monstrous. They could tell… he had surpassed even Minato.
And Orochimaru knew it too.
He could barely believe what this new energy—this dark fragment of Naruto's power—had done to him. It felt otherworldly. And it was only a sample.
[Flashback Ends]
Now, Orochimaru stood in the arena stands, smirking.
"It's about time," he whispered.
He snapped his fingers.
A sharp crack echoed through the air—drawing the attention of Minato, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and even the Third Hokage.
But before any of them could react—
Konoha's walls exploded.
A titanic force smashed through the perimeter, sending debris flying. Several summoned beasts charged in, roaring as they tore through the village defenses.
Shinobi across the stadium froze in disbelief—completely caught off guard.
Minato's eyes widened in horror.
Standing amidst the smoke and rubble were the Four-Tails and the Five-Tails, fully transformed. Beside them, giant serpents, likely summoned by Orochimaru. Then—the Eight-Tails and the Two-Tails, already in partial transformations, emerged from the west.
The impossible had become real.
Five bijū and one Snake had invaded Konoha. (One tail is there too within Gaara)
Minato moved instinctively—ready to counter—but he was too late. A fist collided with his chest before he even saw it coming, launching him into the rooftop. Blood sprayed from his mouth.
Before anyone else could step in, a barrier shot up, encasing the arena like a dome.
Tsunade and Jiraiya tried to react, but had to jump back instantly as a white energy beam slammed into the earth, vaporizing everything in its path. The shockwave knocked dozens off their feet.
Jiraiya looked up, his eyes narrowing in fury and disbelief.
Floating in the air—smirking arrogantly—was Orochimaru, now exuding a godlike presence.
They all realized something chilling.
The Two-Tails and Eight-Tails were from Kumo.
This wasn't just a betrayal by Suna. This was a full-scale alliance—a coalition to crush Konoha.
A blood-curdling scream echoed from below.
It was Gaara—midway through transforming into the One-Tail, his monstrous chakra boiling into the air like smoke.
Konoha was under attack by five bijū simultaneously.
it was the ultimate horror any Shinobi village could imagine.
No one could believe what was happening. Minato gritted his teeth as he shouted, "I don't know why you're doing this! Why align yourselves with Kumo and Iwa? We were allies!"
The Kazekage started chuckling darkly. "Well, well, Minato-kun… it seems you didn't even realize—"
Minato's eyes widened as wires suddenly shot out from behind him. In a flash of instinct, he teleported to one of his marked kunai placed inside the dome earlier. Sweat dripped down his brow—he hadn't even seen the enemy move. But then, realization dawned: the person before him was not the Kazekage.
Orochimaru chuckled as he revealed his true self, and beside him, Hiruzen (the Third Hokage) tensed, summoning Enma with a grim expression.
"Orochimaru… what are you doing here?" the elderly Hokage demanded.
"Well of course, Sensei," Orochimaru sneered, "I'm here to kill you… and Minato-kun. After all, he did steal my rightful place as the Fourth Hokage."
Minato narrowed his eyes. "Orochimaru… you shouldn't have come here. Now that you have, I'll make sure you never leave."
The Third Hokage nodded grimly. "I regret letting you escape all those years ago, Orochimaru. That was a mistake… one I intend to correct today."
Orochimaru smirked. "Then go ahead, Sensei. I'll give you both a free shot. Let's see what the mighty Hokage can do. Show me your best."
He opened his arms mockingly.
Hiruzen simply shook his head. "You've become far too arrogant."
He turned to Minato, who gave a curt nod. Both began weaving hand signs with practiced precision. The Third Hokage unleashed a massive fire-style jutsu—a roaring tsunami of flames. Minato followed it with a powerful wind-style jutsu, amplifying the fire into a white-hot inferno. The blazing attack slammed into Orochimaru with devastating force.
Even the Other kage who looked towards Kazekage —or who they thought was the Kazekage—looked toward the burning area with a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Your arrogance has cost you, Orochimaru."
But before he could finish his sentence, dark laughter echoed from within the flaming wreckage.
A shockwave of air erupted from the center, pushing away the flames and smoke. Orochimaru stood there—completely unharmed. Not even a scratch marred his pale skin. A monstrous aura radiated from him, chilling everyone to the bone.
"That was good," he said with a sinister smile. "But not good enough."
No one should've been able to walk away from that attack unscathed. Only one person ever had…
A horrifying thought hit both Minato and Hiruzen at the same time and their Eyes Widened:
Only one person had ever survived something like that without a single scratch.
Naruto.
The same energy now radiated from Orochimaru.
Minato's expression turned to one of horror. "What have you done, Orochimaru?!"
Orochimaru burst into full-blown laughter. "Well, well, Sensei… I see now why they call you the Professor. Even Minato-kun managed to figure it out."
He raised his arms theatrically as he continued, "This… this is the kekkei genkai I managed to obtain—thanks to a little help from your very own son and daughter. Mito and Menma. I must thank them. They've proven quite… useful."
Minato's breath caught in his throat.
"No… it can't be. You're lying. There's no way... No way you could have obtained the same kekkei genkai as Naruto."
He shook his head in denial.
Orochimaru, however, chuckled darkly. "Ah, denial… how predictable. But I'm telling you the truth. Your son is very special. From just a fraction of his blood and chakra, I've gained power beyond comprehension—this strong, this fast… and this resilient."
He gestured to his unscathed body with a devilish grin. "Now imagine what your son is truly capable of. But don't worry, Minato… I will get him. I will uncover his secrets. He will be mine."
His smirk widened, pure malevolence in his eyes.
"And as for your precious village…" he said, looking skyward, "It's already in good hands. Five bijū and two jinchūriki are currently outside, ready to tear Konoha apart. Soon enough, there will be nothing left."
Minato's fists clenched.
The invasion had begun—and it was clear that Orochimaru now held the upper hand.
With the help of two other Kage and three hidden villages, Konoha was facing an alliance of destruction it had never anticipated.
