### Chapter 129: As Long As We Don't Stop, The Path of Evolution Will Continue to Extend
"[(Armed Dragon) LV7]!"
The light of evolution wrapped around [(Armed Dragon) LV5] surged once more. In mere moments, its already robust body grew even more enormous, threatening to burst through this dungeon. Fortunately, this was a Solid Vision projection of a Duel Monster. Otherwise, [(Armed Dragon) LV7] wouldn't even need to Attack; a few simple movements would easily cause a collapse, burying Chumley and the Labyrinth Brothers underground.
[(Armed Dragon) LV7][ATK2800]
"It actually skipped the LV5 state and went straight to LV7?" Dox's face was grim. From the recording of Chumley's Duel with Bandit Keith, they only knew the evolution conditions for [(Armed Dragon)]: LV3 was "time," LV5 was "destruction experience," and LV7 was drawing the LV10 "destiny."
With [(Armed Dragon)] already having Evolved to LV7, the information regarding its evolution conditions was no longer of much value.
However, the Labyrinth Brothers had no knowledge whatsoever of the Special Ability of the [(Armed Dragon)] Monster. Almost all LV Monsters possess their own unique abilities; for example, [(Ultimate Insect)] has an Attack-reducing ability similar to Weevil Underwood's [(Great Moth)], and [(Silent Swordsman)] can directly Destroy Monsters in Face-down Defense Position, etc.
But the information for [(Armed Dragon)] was a complete blank. Nonetheless, judging by the external appearance of the [(Armed Dragon)] Monster, it definitely possessed some extremely dangerous ability, because these Dragons clad in sharp blades and sturdy armor clearly weren't to be trifled with. It couldn't possibly be an ability like restoring Life Points, could it?
"Grandma said my evolution is faster than Light, and my speed is unmatched in the universe." Chumley extended a finger towards the ceiling above his head. From the Labyrinth Brothers' perspective, Chumley's finger happened to point directly at a lamp on the dungeon ceiling, and his tone was quite arrogant. Behind him, the incredibly massive [(Armed Dragon) LV7] menacingly stared at [(Sanga of the Thunder)] on the Labyrinth Brothers' Field.
Although both were Level 7 Monsters, the Labyrinth Brothers inexplicably felt that their Three Fiend Gods Monster had a lower presence before [(Armed Dragon)]. More critically, both [(Sanga of the Thunder)]'s ATK and DEF were currently higher than [(Armed Dragon) LV7]'s.
Facing the majestic [(Armed Dragon)], Para suddenly understood where the difference lay—while their Three Fiend Gods were also quite imposing, they felt somewhat rigid and lifeless, after all, all their reactions were pre-programmed in KaibaCorp's Solid Vision system.
However, [(Armed Dragon) LV7] gave the impression of a living, breathing Dragon. Despite being a Solid Vision projection, one could clearly sense its breathing, its emotions. It was as if it were alive, but unlike creatures of the natural world, [(Armed Dragon)] was an existence living within a Card.
Thinking of this, Para patted his face. What was he even thinking? Duel Monsters were just a Game; Cards were merely mass-produced commodities from a factory. How could there be life living within them? He must have been dizzy with anger because [(Water Monster)] was Banished from the Game.
Dox, however, didn't think as much as his brother. With [(Sanga of the Thunder)] blocking him, he didn't feel much pressure from [(Armed Dragon) LV7]: "You speak so grandly, but in the end, the [(Armed Dragon) LV7] you painstakingly Summoned is nothing more than a Monster with 2800 Attack Points. How can it compare to my [(Sanga of the Thunder)] on the Field?"
'Moreover, my [(Sanga of the Thunder)] has an almost invincible Effect. No matter how high your Monster's Attack Points increase, I can still intercept it.' Of course, Dox didn't foolishly say this out loud; he only thought it to himself. He still planned to conceal [(Sanga of the Thunder)]'s Effect to get one over on Chumley.
"Indeed, [(Armed Dragon) LV7]'s ATK is 'a paltry 2800' points. But who ever made the rule that 'a Monster with low Attack Points cannot defeat a Monster with higher Attack Points'?" Chumley revealed a smile that left the Labyrinth Brothers confused. "[(Armed Dragon) LV7], for me, Attack [(Sanga of the Thunder)]!"
"Galaxy Phantom Ultraman Super .44 Caliber Magnum Extreme - Jab!"
Despite the ridiculously long name, Chumley's [(Armed Dragon) LV7]'s Attack could not even be considered a "Jab"; it could barely be called a flying spike Attack. The spikes mounted on its armor instantly fired out after the command was given, propelled by small thrusters at their base, assailing [(Sanga of the Thunder)] on Dox's Field.
"Summer is over, and there's no lingering heat of autumn. The sunlight is weak; it wouldn't be enough to fry your brain." Dox laughed smugly. "To so foolishly overestimate yourself and initiate a suicide Attack against [(Sanga of the Thunder)]! In that case, I'll give you a bit more power!"
"I reveal my Set Card, [(Shield & Sword)]! This Card can increase [(Sanga of the Thunder)]'s ATK and DEF by 400 points!"
[(Sanga of the Thunder) ATK3400/DEF2200 → ATK3800/DEF2600]
"Then I'll use [(Sanga of the Thunder)]'s Effect! This Card's Effect can only be used once while it is Face-up Position on the Field: Reduce your [(Armed Dragon) LV7]'s ATK to 0!" Dox laughed loudly and waved his hand. "Take this 3800 points of Counterattack Damage, Hayato!"
"Lightning Barrier!"
An endless current instantly wrapped around [(Sanga of the Thunder)], spreading forward and constructing a wall of current, entirely made of energy yet seemingly possessing substance, which violently crashed towards [(Armed Dragon) LV7]. Along the way, the current barrier encountered no obstruction, easily hitting [(Armed Dragon) LV7] behind Chumley.
Under the effect of the current, even with [(Armed Dragon) LV7]'s robust body, it couldn't help but let out a painful wail, its ATK rapidly plummeting.
[(Armed Dragon) LV7][ATK2800→0]
Just as the spikes flying out from the air were about to hit [(Sanga of the Thunder)], and the Counterattack was imminent, Chumley finally revealed the Set Card he had Set last Turn: "I Activate the Spell Card, [(Rush Recklessly)]! I declare the LIGHT Attribute!"
The moment Chumley declared the LIGHT Attribute, a trace of electricity suddenly flashed across the spikes fired by [(Armed Dragon) LV7], directly hitting [(Sanga of the Thunder)]'s body. Just as [(Sanga of the Thunder)] raised its muscular arm, intending to Counterattack, it was horrified to find that all the current it had generated was completely absorbed by those spikes that had pierced into its body, yet didn't even leave a single wound.
Accumulating [(Sanga of the Thunder)]'s lightning, the spikes suddenly became incredibly dazzling. After a brief pause, there was a thunderous explosion, and [(Sanga of the Thunder)] was directly Destroyed by the exploding spikes and sent to the Graveyard.
Witnessing his Ace Monster being Destroyed for the second time, Dox angrily looked towards Chumley, who calmly placed the [(Rush Recklessly)] that had fulfilled its purpose into the Graveyard, explaining: "This Card's Effect is Activated by targeting one Monster on my Field. After declaring an Attribute, if my Monster battles a Monster with the declared Attribute, I can Destroy the other Monster without damage calculation."
"How's that? Have you seen the power of a Monster that is 'a paltry 2800 points'?"
* Yuya: I still prefer the one from Academia.
* Chumley: Me too. Then it's fine.
* Let us cheer for the flower of hope.
* Author: I made up that extremely ridiculous attack name; its origin is also Baki.
