In another world that is similar to earth, it has exhausted the fertility in early 2000s and after many wars the humanity merged with common interests. Well rich people are still rich and can still eat normal food.
But the masses are masses without proper food or clothing. Right then, something happened the earth that is spherical suddenly opened up and turned into a spike like thing and travelled through space. Then it came to a new massive planet and got inserted in a valley.
The entire earth which is quite big was only able to occupy a small valley making the pieces of original continents look like small islands in a lake. The land area is quite near to some places and it is just a boat ride for few hours.
But the strange energy in this place has directly burnt the circuits of all the things in the world making the world return to dark ages. There aren't even pigeons to send a message as they ate them to extinction because of food scarcity.
Now the message can only be passed on through word of mouth or letter by running. Most of the wild and domestic animals are already killed for food. So there is not even a horse or donkey to pull the cart.
But human life is as tenacious as a cockroach and human mind is as dark as the infinite space. They set their sights on the new land around. They made row boats and sail boats with the remaining technology. They did not have equipment to understand the new place.
But they found that the plants here are normal and there are many eatable things. Immediately they started to send large amount of people over to occupy the land. But suddenly they are attacked by beasts that are slightly strange from the ones on earth.
They have horns and are quite big like magnified animals. A simple rabbit is as big as a child and an eagle is as big as a fighter jet. Tigers and wolves as big as a tank…. Some of them even showed special features like breathing fire.
The normal firearms that are still usable are barely enough to keep them from attacking. Since the modern equipment is no longer usable, the ammunition they have cannot let them stay safe for long.
But they discovered that eating the flesh of these strange monsters can make them strong. So they did that but they also lost most of their ammunition. They can only relay on cold weapons to fight and explore.
To solve the food problem they unified government has ordered people that each household with an idler has to be sent to the farming and exploration team. Naturally those in power can easily hide with various reasons.
Mohini Titly is the real daughter of the titly family but after her mother died her father has remarried and they already had a daughter. The step mother and her daughter purposefully lost her along with a Locket that Mohini is wearing.
Mohini that was lost ended up in the hands of an old orphanage that is going to be taken down. Who would run an orphanage when the food is scarce? But still it was run by some kind hearted people.
Even though they lost Mohini purposefully, one day they still needed her because she took the Locket of her mother with her and there is a secret to the Locket.
They took her back specifically for the Locket because it is the key to a treasure stash that Mohini's mother's family has hidden secretly. They know the location but cannot open it without locket and the bloodline member that is Mohini.
Forced opening would drop the things into a dried up underground river leading to abyss. With all the technology gone they cannot take the treasure easily unless they have huge amount of man power.
If there are more people the information about treasure cannot be contained and they cannot keep the treasure. But after bringing her to take the treasures, they used her as free worker and finally signed her up to the go to the new world land to farm and explore.
Actually Mohini was able to secure a job after studying hard from the orphanage and coming back to the family while working as free worker. But they coaxed her into giving her job to her step sister Nisha.
To maximize her value they married her off to an old man that is over 30 years older than Mohini. But the old man died early and she was considered as a junks. So they don't want to keep her at home. They signed her up to the farming and exploration team of new world.
The new world has fierce creatures that low caliber bullets cannot even pierce their skin. So she died slowly in that place eaten by the beasts. But her soul stayed and watched all the things that happen with the scumbag family that caused her misery in her past life.
