Chapter 12 - A NEW RIVAL WAS BORN

Startled by Damio's cold stare, Chichiro lowered his head.

"I've been waiting for this day for years, and you're ruining it. Shut your mouth and get lost." Damio said calmly, but he was filled with anger; this guy had literally ruined his moment with Shiu.

Just as Damio moved his right hand toward Chichiro's neck, Shiu suddenly pulled Damio's left hand away from his face.

Shiu then saw Chichiro turn pale with fear, tears welling up in his eyes. Shiu looked suspiciously at Damio, who quickly withdrew his hand before Shiu could notice.

Chichiro trembled with fear; if Shiu hadn't been there, he would have really believed that Damio would strangle him.

Shiu's gaze was fixed on the slender boy before him. He hated seeing people cry. Crouching down to Chichiro's level, startling him with the sudden closeness.

Chichiro looked at Shiu suspiciously. Then, to his surprise, he felt a warm palm stroking his head, as if Shiu were trying to calm him down.

"I don't know why you look so sad, but everything will be okay. Don't cry." Chichiro looked up at the boy in front of him.

"Someone as pretty as you should always be smiling." Shiu remembered how his brother used to cry and how he would stroke his head to soothe him.

Seeing the pretty boy in front of him wipe his tears with the back of his hand, Shiu looked at him softly and asked, "Are you feeling better?"

'To think Shiu would conform him, even though he was hostility toward him' Chichiro felt embarrassed at himself.

Chichiro nodded, feeling both embarrassed and nervous at the same time. He had never truly taken the time to look at Shiu until now. His gaze traveled over Shiu's neck and broad shoulders, taking in the way his uniform clung to his strong, sturdy physique. He thought about how tall and handsome Shiu looked, and he imagined pinning him down and tracing his fingers over those defined abs until they reached his muscular chest—Chichiro was surprised at himself, he shook his head, forcing the thought away.

Chichiro gulped hard, sensing that he was stepping into a territory he shouldn't. His face flushed red with embarrassment as he looked into Shiu's soft, calm eyes.

Chichiro stared at Shiu for a long moment. 'He is such a comforting person, so different from his strong look and physique.' His heartbeat quickened. 'What's happening? I'm sure I'm in love with Damio, but why is my heart racing for this delinquent with a gentle personality?'

"I... I... I won't cry anymore," he finally managed to say, still feeling Shiu's warm palm on his cheek.

Shiu aimed to calm the boy before him, but then he suddenly felt a strong grip on his waist. He turned slightly and saw Damio smiling dangerously at Chichiro. Despite the smile, Damio's face remained expressionless.

"Shiu, I'm feeling very hot," he said, sliding his hand up Shiu's arm until he reached the hand on Chichiro's face. He removed Shiu's hand and glared at Chichiro.

Then, he gently intertwined his fingers with Shiu's in front of Chichiro. "Let's go back to class, or I'll die here. It's too hot."

"Then why did you come up here in the first place? You can go back alone, can't you?" Shiu replied.

Damio pressed his body tighter against Shiu, hugging him from behind. "Don't be like that. You said we would go back together earlier."

"Are you going back on your word?"

Chichiro eyes were wide open looking at Damio.

He was so shocked that he didn't know how to react. This wasn't the Damio he knew. He would never act like this—clinging, hostile, or jealous just because Shiu had touched his face.

Chichiro didn't know where to put his eyes. If looks could kill, he would have been dead long ago from Damio's glares. It was clear that Damio was filled with intense desire and longing for Shiu. Anyone could see that Damio wanted Shiu.

But looking at Shiu, it seemed as though he was unaware of Damio's feelings. "Hahahahahaha, so it's just one-sided, huh?" he teased Damio.

Damio's eyes narrowed, a glint of danger evident in them as he looked at Chichiro.

Chichiro instantly shut his mouth in fear. "I'm going back," he said.

"It took you too long to realize you were being a nuisance here," Damio said calmly. But then, he suddenly felt a light blow to the back of his head. He looked to Shiu, confused.

"Why...?"

"You need to be nicer to him," Shiu replied.

Damio grimaced and looked at Chichiro with disdain.

Despite the fact that Chichiro should have been heartbroken by Damio's strong rejection, he wasn't. For some reason, his attention was focused on Shiu right now. Being doted on by Shiu felt too good.

Chichiro smiled brightly. 'Wait this is the one and only time I can annoy that bastard too'. He approached Shiu.

He grabs the tip of Shiu's shirt and said "Shiu, he was giving me dirty looks earlier. I didn't even do anything to him,".

Shiu patted his head and replied, "Sorry you had to go through that. I'm sure he'll be nicer from now on. Can you forgive him?"

Damio really wished he could rip the guy apart. He had finally gotten Shiu for himself, only for this guy to ruin everything. "It's because he was giving you a hostile look. That's why I..."

"What? I would never do something like that!" Chichiro protested, trying to snuggle up to Shiu, but Damio pushed him away.

Damio squeezed himself tightly against Shiu, taking over his body completely.

Shiu didn't need to turn around to see Damio's pouting face; he could feel it. "Alright, let's go back to class." Shiu wasn't a fan of hugs—he valued his personal space—but it seemed that Damio had no such concerns.

"Damio, you're going to suffocate me like this."

"Hmmm~" Damio pretended not to hear Shiu.

Seeing this, Shiu finally gave in and said, "Let's all go back."
