Chapter 6: The Familiar Face at "The Bluebird Bistro"
The Bluebird Bistro buzzed. April nervously scanned the faces. "April? Is that really you?" a voice called. She turned. "Sam?" she exclaimed, surprised.
He grinned, standing up. "Wow, you haven't changed much." He pulled out a chair. "It's been… what? Fifteen years?"
"At least," April laughed, a genuine smile finally breaking through her nerves. "It's… good to see you, Sam."
"You too," he said, his eyes warm. "So, a blind date, huh? Your dad didn't tell me it was with a celebrity."
April chuckled. "Hardly a celebrity. Just a… survivor."
