Ruan Meillin,walked in.She had been my manager for three years now.She was professional and I was satisfied with her work.I treated her as a friend mainly because I wanted to keep all other women away and also because she never let emotions get to her at work.During occasions of a party or a banquet I always took her.Though I heard rumors of our supposed dating,I never clarified the matter simply because I never cared about what other people said about me.But now that my wife was back,I had to do something about it.
"Zhehan,are you....can we go for dinner.I mean,Mr lee asked if you could come today."She asked casually.
Before I could answer,He Yuantian badged into the office."Man her acting skills are topnotch.Is that the same Lixue?You said she changed her name to Ruolan.Geez I kind of liked Lixue though.she even asked my name...."Yuantian was talking without realizing that Meillin was there."Ooh sorry.am I interrupting anything?"
I shook my head and glanced at Meillin casually and said"I have other things to do.maybe some other time.you may leave."Meillin left and at the door as she was shutting it she heard,"Did she pretend not to know you too?I can't believe she hates you that much while you love her deeply."Ruan Meillin's heart slipped a beat and she froze.What did she just hear?'Zhehan,love,Ruolan?And who was Lixue?was she and Ruolan related?So Ruolan was Lixue.The same Lixue, Zhehan loved till now?'She rushed to her office to breathe,to think.She was aware that Zhehan had a woman named Lixue whom he loved deeply.This she found out by chance when Zhehan was drunk three years ago.
When Zhehan asked her to accept Ruolan's resume despite her low work experience,she brushed off the feeling she felt.Now she knew the reason.So this was the woman in Zhehan's heart.And she hated him?Questions were flooding her head.Three years ago,she came to work here and somehow managed to develop a friendship with the CEO.She thought he liked her after spending time with her.So he still liked the woman from before.she knew that somebody else had his heart.she felt like laughing at her stupidity.She actually thought that she was in his heart somehow.She suddenly became angry.What did this Ruolan have that she lacked.She raised the phone and told the secretary to call Li Ruolan to her office.
When she arrived,Ruan Meillin sized her up and saw nothing special.She was just a pretty face with no brain.At least that's what she thought remembering her resume.
"Do you know the CEO from somewhere?"Meillin asked her casually.
"No!"She answered with a blank face.
"Okay.back to your station."She screamed at the poor girl who almost hit the door in the process.Meillin then recalled what Yuantian said about her pretending not to know them.So she was acting innocent when she had broken Zhehan's heart.At least that's what she deduced.She was already starting to feel jealous of the one woman who brought their cold CEO to his knees.Her fists clenched tighhtly.She had to win Zhehan's heart somehow,she vowed inwardly.
Ruolan was starting to wonder what was happening.It wasn't even lunch yet.First the CEO then another pretty playboy acting as if they knew each other for decades and now her supervisor.Her head was about to burst.When Bingbing told her about Yuantian she was surprised.How did the CEO of an entertainment firm know her?She suddenly felt dizzy and an event flashed in her head,a cabin in the woods.She tried to analyze it and failed in the attempt.Was it her memory,why was she feeling sad and dejected after seeing it.That cabin made her feel strangely out of breath as if it was a place of horror for her.A place that had been a nightmare for her.She was sure it was not a good place all the same.She tried to remember more but her head started aching and she gripped her clothes tightly.She had pushed herself too far again.Stacy had told her that maybe she wasn't remembering because it was not a good memory.When she had woken up the only thing on her mind was her name and the ID that she had that had confirmed it.No family or friends either came to mind.Maybe it was better if she did not remember.After all nobody came to look for her.She blinked several times,breathing in and out and she finally looked normal somehow and the paleness subsided.Then she returned to her station.
On the other side Yuantian tried to explain to Zhehan that it was quite understandable why Lixue acted feigning nonchalance considering all that the things Zhehan had put her through.So he told Zhehan the only way to break her facade was to be closer to her than is deemed necessary. Knowing her temper,Lixue would not take it any longer and her anger will burst out.At one point Yuantian said that maybe she was a corporate spy considering the hatred she had for Zhehan and his environs and was here for revenge.A few seconds later he laughed it off but Zhehan kind of thought that maybe that's why she was back after three years.For revenge.was that the point of her coming back?To take revenge on him who loved her.But something was off.
Lixue was never one to show that she was afraid of him even when he tortured her. Though her fear was quit obvious Zhehan never exposed her.The look in her eyes today showed how his employees normally looked at him.The fear of your boss.She seemed as if something was terribly wrong.After Yuantian left a few hours later he raised his phone,"Find out what Tang Lixue or Li Ruolan has been doing for the last three years.Every single thing."He ordered.Actually it was considered a miracle that he saw her resume that day and could not believe his luck.He had used all connections he had in the Zhang name and even underground connections but it was as if she had escaped into thin air.He had practically turned country x upside down to look for her.At first it angered him then the sadness almost enveloped him.Then he swore to make her suffer when he found her.And yet he couldn't stop himself from loving her all over again.He went to the window overlooking the city and lit a cigarette then his mind wandered to five years ago.
