Chapter 117 - Chapter 117:

Chapter 117

In the first clash, Godzilla was clearly at a disadvantage.

That was to be expected. In any tokusatsu story, the hero is usually weaker at the beginning. Once the "novice protection" ends, the fights get harder. Just like certain knights, Ultramen, or Super Sentai—weak first, strong later.

And here, he faced a monstrous machine far larger and heavier than himself. In terms of tonnage and raw power, the Land Raider super-heavy variant was far beyond Godzilla.

With his current strength, blocking it should have been impossible.

But in Godzilla's eyes, nothing was impossible.

After being shoved back across the battlefield, Godzilla roared and braced. The ground beneath his feet was already compacted from the force of battle, becoming solid enough to serve as his foundation. Muscles straining, he threw his full weight against the advancing war machine.

The engines roared, treads tore the earth, the ground itself trembled—yet still Godzilla stood.

Literally. Standing tall.

"He… stopped it?"

"It's blocked!"

Other armored transports rumbled past, and the Chaos Marines aboard were stunned that a single beast had halted their Land Raider's charge with his bare hands.

But the Iron Warriors were not known for honor.

"Aim at Godzilla! Fire!"

The cruiser's guns swung toward him. The Iron Warriors had never respected "martial ethics." Not once. Not ever.

Artillery fire rained down. Godzilla, focusing all his strength on the vehicle before him, couldn't defend himself from the barrage. Explosions tore into his body, pushing him backward once more.

"Your mother's!!!"

Isis spat curses.

"When my god is wrestling one-on-one, I hate when others interfere!"

The other Lizardman priests were just as furious. Even young Katata felt something stir within him—heat flooding his veins, a psychic urge to obliterate all who dared attack Godzilla.

It was one thing to fight Godzilla. But interfering in the middle of his battle? That was unforgivable.

"High Priest Kroka, give that Land Carrier some punishment!"

"Praise be to the name of our god, Godzilla!"

Croka, the strongest of the priests, raised her staff. She rarely intervened—but when she did, the result was cataclysmic.

"Divine punishment upon those who offend our god… the Final Aria!"

A psychic shockwave erupted from Godzilla's planet, streaking toward Cadia. Even Tzeentch himself might have cried out: "Fuck!"

The blast slammed into the Land Raider hammering Godzilla. Deck crews and supplies were vaporized instantly. Gun barrels melted, corridors were torn apart, and shockwaves swept Chaos cultists and Dark Mechanicus thralls into oblivion. Even the Iron Warriors' corrupted armor began to buckle and slough off under the psychic onslaught.

Only the vehicle's structure saved it from annihilation. Even so, its engines were crippled, and only the Dark Gods' blessing kept it from detonating outright.

Meanwhile, Godzilla staggered, struggling to halt another Land Raider advancing on him.

'Damn it! Stop! Stop!!!'

He roared in rage, bracing his claws once more. But momentum was slipping. He couldn't stop it a second time.

Not without more power.

'Give me strength! Let me use that power again!'

Godzilla reached inward—toward his shadow in the Warp. The response came instantly. Radiation within him spiked, nuclear organs burning hot. His cells ignited with energy. His body began to glow crimson.

The pain of transformation wracked him, but he no longer flinched.

The Red Lotus form returned.

'I must push you back today!!!'

Heat waves rippled from his body, distorting the battlefield. His figure grew feral, monstrous. And the Land Raider in front of him could no longer advance.

This time, it truly stopped.

Another Land Raider moved in to provide support. Its guns flared—

But before the shells could land, Godzilla turned his head and unleashed a scarlet atomic breath. The beam sliced the tank cleanly in half.

Its void shields flickered to life but were instantly overloaded and collapsed. The searing ray tore through the chassis, bisecting the war machine. Ammunition ignited. A massive explosion lit the field.

'Now it's just you and me.'

Godzilla squared off with the final Land Raider. He could have destroyed it outright. But that wasn't enough.

He had his pride.

Even if the enemy fought without honor, Godzilla would display his majesty as King of the Monsters—an ancient, primeval god.

Onboard, the Iron Warriors' commander went pale.

"I… I can't return to the Despoiler with this…"

He had once boasted that no living creature could halt a Land Raider. These machines were rare even among the Iron Warriors' arsenal—no more than twenty on their homeworld. They had shattered ork WAAAGHs by themselves.

Now? One destroyed. One paralyzed. One about to be defeated.

"I won't believe it! This is impossible! No creature can stop a Land Raider!"

But then, he saw the impossible.

Godzilla didn't just stop the vehicle.

He began to lift it.

Claws dug in, muscles straining, the titan heaved the super-heavy tank upward.

It was a scene so outrageous it defied belief. Not Superman lifting a plane. Not even an aircraft carrier.

Something far, far beyond.
