April was in her bed texting and giggling with her friends through her phone while her mother was downstairs in the kitchen preparing dinner, she and her mom had just moved into a new town so she was catching up with her friends that she had left behind, meanwhile her mom was also on the phone with her sister as in April's aunt and it seemed they were arguing about something,
"it's time she knows, she's a grown woman now"said her aunt through the phone
"no, this world, the world of supernaturals is too cruel for her" the mom replied,
"so are you going to keep her in the dark forever"
"if I have to"
"what if she someday gets attacked by the demons from the curse what will she do then huh…"
"i've put a cloaking spell on her she can't be seen by the demons, plus she's under a strong protection spell since she was born she will be fine"
"those spells only last as long as you're still alive remember, what happens if you're die"
"then there's you to protect her, and I want you to promise me that you'll shield her from this word"
"you clearly know I can't make that promise, she's is the strongest supernatural in the world, she's a tri brid for godsake let her be one"
As they kept arguing April was also coming downstairs for some dinner, she could hear her mom talking but she couldn't really tell what she was talking about.
"hey what's for dinner" said April, her in a panic her mom quickly hung up the phone and turned around to face her,
"uhhh… I was heating up some leftovers from lunch, would you like some" replied her mother,
"sure"she replied as she took a seat at the table, "and who was that on the phone" she asked,
"its just you're aunt, she wanted to know if we're settling in okay" replied her mom as she took out some mac and cheese from the microwave, soon as she landed the bowl on the table there was a knock on the door which left them all shocked since they were new in town and didn't know anybody,
"i'll go see who it is" said the mother as she walked across the living room straight to the door, when she opened the door there was nothing there but a small gift box left on the floor, she picked it up and when she opened it there was a small black leather book with the words "The Beastiary" engraved on it,
"who is it" asked April from the kitchen, she was getting curious since her mom was taking too long,
"nothing its just a book delivery" with a little smirk on her face, it was quite clear that she knew what the book meant.
Meanwhile just outside the town a red luxurious car pulls up in front of this large manor, a middle aged man early twenties walks out of the car and went straight for the door, he knocked three times and waited for the door to be opened,
"hello brother" he said soon as the door was opened, the door was suddenly slammed on his face soon as he said that, but luckily he was quick enough to stop it from closing all the way, "really Lance is that how you're going to treat your brother that you haven't seen for so long" said the man after he pushed back the door all the way open,
"oh don't be such a sour pus Liam, were you expecting a welcome home banner" replied Lance as he poured himself a drink in the living room,
"arent you gonna bring the owner to invite me in" asked Liam who still standing at the front door
"nope" he replied and then took a sip of his drink, Liam tried hovered his foot inside the house and he felt no force was pushing him outside,
"a house with no owner classic, I guess that means he's dead" said Liam as he comfortably stepped foot inside the house, "you could have just told me you know"
"and ruin all the fun, no" replied Lance with a little smirk on his face, "what are doing here Liam" he asked as he landed is drink down the table,
"well Its been awfully thirty years since we saw each other, I figured I should come see my little brother"
"i find that very hard to believe since the last time we saw each other you were running away from me" said Lance, "how did you find me here" he added"
"you're not a hard man to find Lance, small town people mysteriously missing and dying figured it would be you" replied Liam, "did you turn it off brother" asked Liam looking at Lance dead in his eyes,
"oh here we go again, look if you're here to stay there's plenty of room upstairs as long as you don't bug me and ruin my peace but if you're just passing through the door is still open" said Lance and then left the living room going upstairs to his bedroom,
"that still doesn't answer my question" shouted Liam as Lance was going up the stairs.
Next morning when Lance woke up he was in rush to go outside but when he got to the living room he found Liam sitting on the couch reading a newspaper while sipping on a drink,
"since when do you read newspapers" he asked as he put on his coat,
"since now, where are you off to this early in the morning" asked Liam,
"school"
"dude you're 95 year old vampire why do need school"
"cause its fun, now mind your own business" quickly replied Lance and the left the house, the news paper Liam was reading was talking about three teenagers who died mysteriously at an abandoned house, and also there were news about a teenage girl who had gone missing for three days, he was worried that his brother had something to do with all of those cases.
Meanwhile April had just arrived at her new high school and she was walking down the hallway heading towards her assigned locker of which the number was written on a small piece of paper she was carrying in her hand, to her left there was missing person's poster a teenage girl with name Nina Torres had been missing for almost three days, she was reading the poster as she walked when she accidentally bumped into a girl and as she turned around to apologize she surprisingly caught the girl staring at her neck,"are you alright" asked April,
"yeah, yeah am okay, I'm sorry" said the girl and then walked away, April the went ahead and opened her locker and started putting her stuff in, as she was doing so the girl she bumped into was on the other end of the hallway talking to her twin sister,
"Hailey have you seen the new girl" said the girl talking to her sister,
"no, what's with her" she asked as she took her stuff out of the locker,
"she has this oddly familiar mark on her neck I think I've seen it before"
"oh relax Chloë it's probably just a tattoo"
"just look at it" said Chloë and then using her hand she turned Hailey's head to look at April,
"i've seen that mark, it's in the book of curses" quickly said Hailey soon after she saw the mark,
"the book of curses" replied Chloë so shocked, "what does it mean"
"i don't remember I never paid any attention to it, look am gonna go home you stay here and don't let her out of your sight" said Hailey,
"how are you going to go home from here" asked Chloë, Hailey pointed at the green door just in front of them written the Janitor's closet in reply and they both smiled.
Hailey stood in front the door and chanted magical words "une porte n'est pas une porte, c'est un portail". The door suddenly glowed a little on the edges and when she went to open it there was a huge library behind it, she went inside it and closed the door behind her leaving chloë alone in the hallway, Chloë went back to talk to April but luckily she was also struggling with her schedule causes she didn't know where her classes were,
"hey do you know where the Spanish class is" asked April soon as Chloë approached her,
"you take Spanish" asked Chloë so excited, "me too, c'mon I'll show you" she added as she took her and walked together to the class, when they got inside they sat beside each other and if it wasn't weird enough Lance was sitting behind them same row as April, being an old vampire Lance could hear April's heartbeats beating louder and faster he could totally tell that she was nervous, so he put his hand on her shoulder and softly said "calm down everything is going to be okay". It was obvious April was so nervous about beginning her life at a new school that she got so scared when she took a seat in the class, soon after she heard those words she closed her eyes and started breathing slowly and deeply trying to calm her self down, "thank you" she whispered to Lance when she turned around to look at him,
"don't sweat it, now can I have your pencil" said Lance, his pupils grew a bit wider as he said that cause he was doing a compulsion,
"sorry I only have one" April replied and slowly turned around feeling totally awkward, meanwhile Lance was so confused cause April was supposed to give her to the pencil willingly that's how compulsion works and if it didn't work on her it could only mean that she's supernatural, as Lance was still staring at her confused he also couldn't help but see the mark on her neck, that mark felt so familiar to Lance too, like he had seen it before.
Hailey in the Library was walking through a corridors of shelves trying to find the book on curses without success till she eventually halted and yelled "ladder", a very big ladder slid from the unknown to right exact where she was standing it was almost like it had a conscious of its own,
"get me all the books on curses" she said to the ladder, and onwards the ladder slid to the left collecting all the books she asked for while Hailey continued the search herself, as she was still looking the ladder came up to her with a dozen of book on top of it, she climbed and started going through them till she found the book she was looking for, she climbed down from the ladder and she opened the book to that specific page where April's curse mark was written,
"The holder of the mark holds the most powerful curse of them all, the curse was casted a long time ago on a family of supernatural hunters the Lockwood's, that for every supernatural life that they have taken, it will come back from the grave to hunt them" read the book, she quickly took a book from her back pack and tore a blank page from it, she then placed it on top of the book of curses, she chanted the words "pagina infra et pagina supra eadem omnia unum" and suddenly all the words on April's curse mark slowly started getting transferred to the blank paper, Chloë back in class also had her book opened as she listened to her teacher, the same words from the book of curses on April's curse started appearing at her book, so when Hailey was doing the spell she not only did to herself but her sister too, Chloë back in class seeing those words slowly appearing on her book wasn't so shocked, she knew it was just her sister performing a spell and so she kept reading the words as they appeared.
After the spell was done she closed the book put it back on the ladder and the ladder took the book back to it's place, after she was done she started looking for a door to get back to school, there was a door with name "Prof Eric Hunter" engraved on it, she stood in front of it and chanted portal door spell again "une porte n'est pas une porte, c'est un portail" , door glowed a little on the edges and when she opened the door it was almost like she opening the door to the Janitor's closet back at school, now she was back at the school hallway which was now empty because everyone was already in class.
Meanwhile Liam was at the Sheriff station talking to the Sheriff about the murders on the news paper, he was pretending to be a private investigator hired by one of the families to find out what really happened to the kids,
"our forensics have never seen something like that" said the sheriff as he threw the file on table, Liam picked up the file and opened it, he saw all the photos of the dead bodies and all of them had two bite marks to the neck, and their bodies were so pale and completely drained of blood.
"well what did they say that killed them" he asked as he kept looking at the pictures,
"they said it was probably an animal attack, but I've never seen animal attack like that"
"can you take me to where it happened" asked Liam,
"sure" said the sheriff and then grabbed his car keys, he drove in front as Liam followed behind him, they stopped at an abondoned house in the woods not very far from the high school April just transferred to, the house itself was a crooked old thing. Slouched forward as if tired of holding up its own secrets. Its wood were weather worn and warped with time, blackened by rain and scorched in places that don't look like they were touched by fire, but by something worse. The windows are eyes empty, shattered, jagged and yet somehow you always feel like something is looking back at you from inside. The front door hanged slightly ajar. Not open enough to invite you, but not closed enough to stop you. It creaks, but only when you're not looking directly at it,
"now remind me again why were they hanging out here it looks so creepy" said Liam as he stared at the house,
"well you know teenagers, they like to do forbidden stuff, now there are stories about this place and witchcraft that seem to draw them every weekend night" replied the sheriff as he walked around looking for clues, just at the left side of the house Liam saw foot prints that made him curious since according to the sheriff the kids were murderer at the front door, he crouched on the ground to examine the foot print and with his vampire super hearing he could hear some creaking in the woods like someone was watching them, he got up from the ground still looking at where the sound came from "hey sheriff I got take a leak" he said,
"be careful" said the sheriff on the far side of the house, he looked at the sheriff and saw that he wasn't looking so he quickly ran in a very high speed to where the sound came from, a distance that could take twenty minutes to walk it took him five seconds to get there.
When he got there he was so shocked to see it was his brother Lance feeding blood from someone's arm, he looked so vicious that his eyes had turned red and his veins around the eyes were so thick that anyone from a distance could see them, it was almost like he was going to drain all the blood from the poor person's body.

•Protection spell- A spell that allows you to rise from the dead only once and only if killed by something supernatural
•Cloacking spell- A spell to shield a view of an object or a person, a person or object won't be tracked by any kind of magic.
