Earlier, Bruno's cars made people move away.
Now only two cars stayed close. His men were told not to push old people away from the path. If a child came near, Bruno had to bend slightly and listen, even if he did not care what the child said.
It annoyed him, but he did it.
Every camera near him caught Bruno acting calmer than usual.
While Bruno's image changed outside, Adam kept attending college like usual. To everyone there, he looked far away from the election noise.
He did not speak much about the election there. Still, the campus had already heard the name. Students laughed and called politics a joke. A few even argued that a street man might be better than the people already sitting in office.
Adam listened and said almost nothing.
During lunch, Monica sat near him and looked at him for a while.
"Adam," she said, "that day... what were you trying to say about John?"
Adam looked at her.
Monica lowered her voice.
