Chapter 11 - Why do you have my wife's phone?

On the balcony, Enrique held his phone, staring at the name "Sana" in his contacts. His thin lips were pressed into a line, and his deep-set eyes flickered with a light that was hard to decipher.

It was as if all his patience had worn thin. He tapped the screen lightly, and his already stern face turned even colder.

"Mr. Kim."

The sudden male voice from the other end made Enrique pause mid-breath. His gaze darkened sharply, and the hand holding the phone tightened. The corners of his lips curled into a cold, mocking arc.

"Why do you have my wife's phone?"

"You can interpret that however you like. But Sana is already asleep. If you have something to say, you can tell me, and I'll pass it on."

The voice was calm and gentle, but carried an unmistakable edge of hostility.

"Sana?"

The familiar name rolled off the man's tongue so naturally, but to Enrique, it sounded particularly jarring.

His expression turned colder, and he let out a mocking laugh. "I'm speaking to my wife. Why would I need someone else to relay my message? Since she's already asleep, I won't disturb her."

There was a soft chuckle on the other end. "It seems Mr. Kim has nothing more to say, but I do. Since you don't love Sana, why not set her free? You don't cherish her, but others do."

"Like you?"

Enrique's face tightened. His words were laced with warning and venom. If he didn't want her, no one else could have her either.

"I'm just one of many. Sorry, Sana is awake now. I'll leave it at that. I just hope Mr. Kim understands."

The call ended abruptly.

The faint sound of rustling lingered in his ears, and a layer of frost spread across his chiseled features. His eyes were sharp as blades.

Set her free?

Forget it!

No one but him could possess Enrique's woman.

Samuel. Does he really think he wouldn't recognize his voice through the phone?

He had underestimated him. He had returned to the country quietly, and was now staying with her!

The thought of her lying beside another man made his chest tighten with fury. He wanted to drag her away, pin her beneath him, and ravage her until she remembered who she belonged to.

She bore the label of Enrique's woman, yet dared to flirt with another man. Sana Vellore, are you so desperate without me?

His grip on the phone tightened over and over again. A burning fire raged in his dark eyes.

"Find out where Samuel Bonovel is now, and when he returned," he ordered coldly into the phone, his gaze piercing through the night like a blade.

"Mr. Bonovel? President, Mr. Bonovel..."

The person on the other end hesitated before continuing, sounding surprised. "I thought you didn't care about Young Master Bonovel? Did the old lady pressure you again?"

Enrique's lips curled slightly. His eyes were icy. "Him? He's not that capable."

"Understood. I'll look into it immediately."

Sana woke slowly. The warm yellow lighting and unfamiliar room startled her. She gasped, only relaxing after confirming that her clothes were intact and her body felt untouched.

But where was she?

She vaguely remembered walking down the street, hearing the screech of brakes, and... a man with caramel-colored hair.

The sound of approaching footsteps made her tense up again. She sat up quickly, curling against the headboard, her eyes fixed on the door.

"You're finally awake."

Samuel leaned against the doorframe. Seeing her awake, he smiled calmly. His hands were in his trouser pockets, and he casually turned off her phone.
