Chapter 6 - I will not let you go

"Don't you want the 30% stake in Kim Group that I hold?" Sana stared at him, her voice trembling with anger as she endured the pain in her jaw.

"Of course I do," Enrique sneered.

Sensing her hatred, he suddenly stepped closer, his voice low and sharp. "So why not use it to protect the Vellore family's stability?"

Their lips nearly brushed. Their noses almost touched. Their breaths mingled in the tense air.

In exchange for the Vellore family's stability...

Hearing those words in Enrique's deep voice, Sana felt like she was falling into an endless abyss.

Her eyes lost the light of hatred—and the warmth of love. What remained was nothing but a cold, desperate surrender.

"Enrique, what do you want? If this is your revenge for me forcing you into marriage, then you've succeeded. You can punish me however you want, but there's no need to destroy yourself in the process."

Her face was as pale as paper, and her low voice echoed in the silent office, striking something deep in Enrique's heart.

His breath caught, and his Adam's apple rolled as his chest heaved. His grip on her chin tightened, almost painfully, but he didn't seem to notice.

His dark eyes were cold, with a flicker of crimson rage. "Sana, you will never be able to repay me. Not in this lifetime. Even if we end up torturing each other, I will never let you go."

He leaned down suddenly and kissed her.

It was rough, bitter, full of conflicting emotions, anger, grief, vengeance. It caught Sana completely off guard. Her body froze.

When was the last time Enrique had kissed her like this?

She couldn't remember. Had he ever?

Yes—he hadn't touched her in seven years.

Not once.

Her stillness filled Enrique's eyes with a trace of panic.

She had tried so hard to get close to him in the past, but he had always pushed her away. He had even stopped returning to where she lived. And now, when he finally kissed her, she felt nothing?

Does she truly feel nothing for me anymore...?

Bit by bit, Enrique's self-control began to crack.

His hand drifted to her waist, moving lower.

Sana flinched, her body stiffening.

Her eyes widened in panic, and she pushed against him with trembling hands. "No! Enrique, stop, please, don't do this!"

But her body was still weak from a recent illness. She had no strength to resist.

He paused, his voice turning cruel: "Isn't this what you always wanted? For years, you kept trying to get into my bed. Fine. I'll give you what you wanted."

Her dress tore at the seams with a hiss.

Sana gasped as cold air hit her skin. Before she could say another word, her feet were lifted off the ground, and she let out a startled cry.

Enrique carried her by the waist and kicked open the door to the lounge area.

He threw her onto the bed and pressed down over her, eyes dark and stormy, full of emotions she couldn't comprehend.

His lips were drawn tight, his voice silent as he watched her face turn paler and paler, watched her stop struggling altogether, still and quiet beneath him.
