Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty-Two – "The Auction of Barix"
Crow stepped into the golden-lit auction hall, its ceiling towering with intricate murals of long-forgotten wars. Rows of players and NPC nobles whispered amongst themselves, all eyes fixed on the gleaming pedestal at the front.
There it was—Barix, resting in a velvet-lined obsidian case. The legendary horn radiated a low, primal aura. A hush fell over the crowd as the auctioneer raised his hand.
"Next item: the ancient summoning relic Barix—starting bid: 10,000 gold!"
Crow's eyes sharpened. He didn't hesitate. "100,000 gold."
The hall gasped. No one dared to counter.
