Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Two
The air grew heavy as a system prompt appeared before Crow in shimmering red text:
[Hellish Difficulty Mission Detected]
Objective: Defend the Eternal Bastion for 10 waves.
Reward: 2x SS Rank Hero Units (Random)
Recommended Power: ???
Warning: Death of a summoned Primordial God Rank unit will incur backlash. Proceed with caution.
Crow's eyes narrowed. "Hellish mode. Perfect."
Without hesitation, he summoned his three most powerful forces:
Primordial Dragon – Xar'Zenth, whose mere breath distorted time and space, coiling in the sky like a god of destruction. Sylvanna, the elven goddess of growth, stood serene but alert, emerald light wrapping around her like armor. Liana, whose seductive aura hid brutal cosmic strength, her gaze now cold and focused.
The three stood at the heart of the Bastion, towering among the lower-rank defenders as if they had returned to reclaim the world.
"Let them come," Crow murmured.
The sky split open. The first wave poured in—level 80,000 monsters, twisted demigod beasts, and death elementals charged the gates in a tide of chaos.
Xar'Zenth roared.
Reality buckled.
His tail swipe obliterated a dozen elite monsters in one motion.
Liana danced forward, her aura flaring. With a single snap of her fingers, a black hole erupted beneath the attackers, devouring hundreds whole.
Sylvanna raised a hand—roots of celestial wood tore from the stone, binding and impaling anything not vaporized.
Crow stood behind them, calculating, calm.
Wave one? Gone in under thirty seconds.
He cracked his knuckles. "Nine more."
The mission had just begun.
