Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Six
Later that day, Crow walked alone through the dim, mist-covered canyon known as The Obsidian Hollow. Word had spread through obscure forums and hushed NPC rumors—an ancient option was opening here, one that held something unique.
Not a shop.
Not a dungeon.
Something… different.
The air shimmered unnaturally as he stepped through the veil. A single obsidian pedestal stood at the center of a glowing circle, etched with runes long forgotten.
A message appeared:
[One-of-a-Kind: ??? — Hero or Pet?]
"This option can only be accessed once per server. The choice is permanent. Do you accept the trial?"
Crow's eyes narrowed. "A one-of-a-kind… this wasn't in the previous timeline."
He didn't hesitate.
"Accept."
The runes ignited in a burst of colorless flame. A swirling silhouette formed, and Crow could feel an overwhelming pressure—powerful enough to rival even a Primordial God.
Was it a hero?
Was it a pet?
The shape solidified… but its identity remained hidden. For now.
A message blinked once more:
[Trial Initiated — Survive. 5 Waves. 1 Reward. Destiny Awaits.]
Crow drew in a breath, his aura flaring.
He was ready.
