Chapter One Hundred and Twenty
Crow stood atop one of the soaring spires of his flying base, the clouds parting at his will. His gaze narrowed, locked onto a flickering signal deep within a nearby neutral territory. There, a low-level player named Veyor had stumbled into a miracle—he'd acquired an SS Rank Hero through a random world drop, a phenomenon so rare it sent ripples through the player forums.
"A shame," Crow muttered, his voice a calm echo in the wind. "He's not ready for her."
He raised his hand, activating one of his most dangerous assets: SSSS Rank Skill – Divine Contract. The golden sigil flared in the air, rippling outward as it sought the signature of the SS rank hero—Kaela, the Moonblade Duelist. The contract didn't just bind. It rewrote loyalty.
Crow had long since optimized the contract's range, speed, and bypass. It didn't matter that the player was several zones away or that the hero had already formed a bond. Divine Contract overwrote bonds—forcefully.
In a flash of moonlight, Kaela appeared before him, kneeling as if drawn by fate.
"I... I don't understand," she whispered. "I belonged to someone else... but now..."
Crow extended his hand. "Now, you belong to me."
Her eyes glowed silver for a moment before fading to a deep, loyal violet. She bowed low. "Yes, my master."
The server didn't alert anyone—Divine Contract was silent.
But in the distance, a scream of disbelief echoed from Veyor's base as his prized hero vanished without a trace.
Crow turned away, unbothered. "Next."
