Chapter 6 - chapter 6: Ethan Thompson you lost.

However, Astrid didn't't start immediately. Instead, she hooked her finger around his tie and asked seriously, "I forgot to ask Brother Ethan, do you have a girlfriend? I don't seduce men who are already taken." After Ethan Thompson replied with the words "single", he walked to the small bar on the side, poured half a glass of red wine from a bottle, and sat on a single sofa to slowly savor it. He sat there, his cold gaze fixed on a woman not far away, like an arrogant emperor. Astrid's heart was pounding, but she didn't show any signs of it on her face. With slightly drunken eyes, she walked over to him only after pouring herself a glass of wine. She sat directly on his lap, took the glass from his hand, put it on the nearby table, and said softly, "Brother Ethan, try my wine. It's definitely better." Ethan wanted to see what tricks she could play, so he didn't stop her from taking the glass. Astrid took a sip of red wine, hooked her arm around the man's neck, pulled him down, tilted her head slightly, and put her lips on his cool lips. The fragrance of the red wine mixed with the woman's breath was incredibly sweet, and the taste was indeed more than twice as good as the glass he had just had. His Adam's apple rolled as he drank the red wine, and he continued to drink until the glass was empty. He sneered, "This bit of red wine can't even make me drunk." Ethan seemed to see through her little trick and said disdainfully. Astrid ignored his sarcasm, reached out her slender fingers, pinched the button on her shirt, and slowly unbuttoned one, revealing her delicate collarbone. Her fingers slowly moved down to the second button... Astrid noticed Ethan's pupils slightly contracting, and her fingers suddenly released the button, grabbing Ethan's big hand and batting her charming eyes, "Brother Ethan, can you help me?" Faced with such a beauty, few men would refuse such a request, but Ethan shook off her hand, took out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from his pocket, lit it, took a deep drag, looked at his expensive watch, and said coldly, "There are still twenty minutes."

Astrid bit her red lips, and a hint of madness appeared in her enchanting eyes. She was too lazy to seduce him and just went straight to the point. Today, she had to win against this man!

Twenty minutes later...

Astrid looked at Ethan, ecstatically shouting, "You lost, you lost, I won!"

A tinge of regret flashed in Ethan'sdeep eyes, and his ears turned slightly red. He cursed under his breath before throwing the woman who was laughing smugly onto the bed.

"What are you doing?" Astrid asked.

"You started the fire, now I'm putting it out!" Ethan replied harshly.

Astrid struggled but it was of no use, the man clearly had the upper hand and she eventually gave in to the rough pleasure.

The next day, it was almost noon when Astrid woke up, staring at the ceiling for a while before digesting everything that happened last night. She went into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Her face turned several shades darker.

She rarely cursed, but she couldn't help but mutter, "Bastard, inhuman!"

After soaking in the bath, the soreness in her body eased a bit. She walked out in her robe and saw the room that looked like a battlefield.

Memories of last night flooded her mind. Ethan looked like he hadn't touched a woman in 800 years.

She picked up her dress from the floor, but it had already turned into a torn piece of cloth. She threw it irritably into the trash can.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. A pleasant female voice came from outside, "Hello, I'm Mr. Thomson's assistant. I've brought you some clothes."

Astrid opened the door and saw a young woman in her twenties standing outside. She had short hair and was dressed in professional attire. She looked smart and capable, with a professional smile on her face that didn't quite reach her eyes.

She handed the bag in her hand to Astrid.

"Thank you!"

Astrid took it and saw that the woman had no intention of leaving, so he asked, "Is there anything else?"

"Mr. Thompson said that he will come to see you tonight after finishing with the client, and he wants you to rest at the hotel today."

After hearing the woman's words, Astrid frowned slightly. She had settled her grievances with Ethan last night, so why was he looking for her again? Was he planning to go back on his word?

"Then help me tell him that I have something else to do and don't have time! Also, he lost last night, so he shouldn't deny it!"

After Astrid finished speaking, he closed the door, opened the bag, and took out the clothes to change into. It was a whole set, from inside to outside, with the skirt being the latest Chanel summer style. The white diamonds on the collar emitted a brilliant light under the lamp, luxurious and beautiful!

Finally, she took out a scarf from the bag, and her gorgeous face showed surprise. If she hadn't specifically instructed it, no one would have bought her a scarf.

She smiled and said, "I didn't expect him to be so thoughtful."

The scarf was tied around her neck, covering up those ambiguous marks.

After having lunch at the hotel, she left and took a car to a private detective agency, planning to spend money to hire a professional to track her mother.

"Just let me know if she goes to the hospital."

"Don't worry! We will take care of everything you have entrusted us with."

After paying part of the money, Astrid got up and left.

...

At the same time, in the CEO's office on the top floor of the Thompson Building.

Sofia relayed Astrid's words to Ethan word for word.

"What else did she say?" The CEO's voice was cold and devoid of emotion, but Sofia knew that he was angry.

"Nothing else," she replied, pursing her lips. She felt a chill run down her spine as she met the man's fierce gaze, and quickly looked away.

"You can leave," Fu Hanyi ordered, and Sofia immediately turned around and left the room, gently closing the door behind her.

When she saw Morgan, the director who had come to deliver a proposal, she shook her head and warned him, "Boss is in a bad mood right now. It's better if you come back later, Director Morgan."

Morgan looked at Sofia gratefully, "Thank you for the reminder, Assistant Sofia. Who made boss unhappy?"

"That's something you don't need to know," Sofia replied. She knew what to say and what not to say. If she leaked her boss's private affairs, she would be out of a job.

Ethan lit a cigarette and stood by the floor-to-ceiling window. Suddenly, started to rain outside, and the sound of raindrops hitting the glass was irritating.

He thought back to last night, and it was nothing but madness.

He prided himself on his self-control, but he had lost the bet last night and was completely defeated.

In front of a woman, he was no different from an eighteen-year-old boy.

"Astrid... Green... What have you done to me " He uttered her name, and just those two words were enough to make his body heat up.

He exhaled the smoke slowly, a smirk appearing on his lips. "This is getting interesting.

He had started to doubt his self control as a man because of this woman.
