Astrid didn't expect to see Ethan Thompson so soon.
It was Emily's friend's birthday party at the bar, and Astrid was afraid she would be bored alone at home, so she invited her to come along. Astrid didn't refuse, as she was feeling a bit down.
Astrid was not dressed in a particularly sexy way, wearing a black dress that cinched at the waist, showing off her slim waist. Her hair was tied up, revealing her graceful swan-like neck. Her high heels made her ankles look even more delicate. She walked towards Emily's table at a leisurely pace.
Although she wasn't intentionally trying to be sexy, her every move exuded sexiness. No man could resist her charm.
Therefore, her arrival made the atmosphere even more lively. Astrid sat down next to Emily and after some introductions, someone began pouring her drinks.
Although she was feeling down, she didn't plan on getting drunk in a place like this, so she drank slowly.
There was a handsome guy performing a hot dance on the central stage. He had already taken off his shirt, revealing his wheat -colored skin and beautiful abs. His figure was quite good.
Astrid glanced at him a few times, and for some reason, she suddenly thought of Ethan Thompson taking off his clothes.
His broad shoulders, narrow waist, and perfect eight-pack abs. Especially when he was panting and sweating, he was incredibly sexy.
She was jolted back to reality when her waist was bumped. Emily whispered in her ear with a teasing smile, "Astrid, do you like the guy on stage?"
Astrid shook her head and denied it, "No, I don't like him."
"You say you don't, but your eyes were fixed on his abs. I didn't expect you to like this kind of seductive and provocative type of man."
Emily's eyes lit up as if she had discovered a new continent.
"Astrid, your taste is a bit... heavy!"
Seeing her friend still teasing her, Astrid stuffed a piece of watermelon into her mouth.
On the second floor of the bar, several distinguished people were sitting, and the bar owner was just a small character on the side.
"Mr. Thompson, what are you looking at? Let me drink with you..."
The beautiful woman didn't finish her sentence before being scared into silence by a cold and stern gaze.
"What I'm looking at, do I need to tell you?"
Ethan looked down at the woman, his voice as cold as ice. His friend Liam Grey's heart sank, knowing that this lord was angry, and quickly pushed the woman away.
The woman left, but Ethan's face remained as dark as water, and his gaze shifted to the bar owner.
Big John as he was popularly known was immediately frightened when he met his eyes, and he smiled nervously with cold sweat on his forehead.
"Get the male dancer off the stage downstairs!"
His tone was so strong that no one could refuse.
Big John nodded repeatedly and quickly had someone take the male dancer, who was left with only a pair of pants, down. Soon, two girls came up and continued to dance.
Women were disappointed, but men were happy!
"Oh, Astrid, the man you like has been replaced, there's nothing to see now."
While Emily was speaking, Astrid was looking up at the second floor. Countless gazes were focused on her, but she sensed the one different gaze.
When she met With his gaze, Astrid was stunned. Was Kyoto City so small? She could even run into him at a bar.
However, she had already paid back the debt she owed him that night, so when she saw him again, her heart didn't feel as hollow.
She glanced at him briefly and then turned her attention back to drinking and playing games with Emily and her friends.
The bar was lively, but it was also a chaotic mix of people. When Astrid and Emily came back from the restroom, they saw that one of Emily's friends had gotten into a fight with another group of people. Shouting and screaming filled the air, and bottles were flying everywhere.
Emily rushed forward to help her friend when she saw that he was hurt, and Astrid followed to try and pull her out of the fray. But the other people were so worked up that they didn't listen to reason.
Before Astrid could get Emily out of harm's way, a man grabbed a wine bottle and swung it at her head.
Quick as lightning, Astrid kicked him in a vulnerable spot, causing him to scream in pain and drop the bottle.
He curled up on the ground, unable to even stand up.
"That woman is not only beautiful, but also fierce! Tsk, spicy and wild, I like it!" Land Wind, who was watching the commotion from the second floor, saw Astrid kick the man and his eyes lit up with interest. But the next second, he felt a deadly gaze on him.
After giving him a glance, Ethan Thompson stood up and walked downstairs. Astrid Green protected Emily while Emily helped her friend, who was bleeding profusely from a head wound, out of the bar. But before they could get far, someone grabbed Astrid's hair and yanked her head back, causing her scalp to ache.
In the process of trying to help Emily some of the people who started the fight pushed her and even hit her.
She was dragged along the ground, and just as someone was about to step on her, the person who had attacked her was suddenly kicked and sent flying over a meter away, crashing into a table before coming to a stop.
Everything happened too fast. When Astrid came back to her senses, she was already being held in a warm embrace.
The familiar scent filled her nose, and she looked up to meet a pair of ink-black eyes.
Her heart raced as she realized that it was Ethan Thompson who had saved her.
Ethan Thompson turned to his assistant and said " whoever laid their hands on her teach them a lesson and thrash them!" emmiting a powerful aura which kept people away. Even his assistant who was used to his cold aura couldn't help but shiver.
Yes sir...
Seeing Ethan Thompson come to her rescue all she could say was "Thank you..."
"Ah!" The second "thank you" got stuck in her throat as she let out a gasp. Ethan Thompson had picked her up and was walked out of the bar in long strides.
"Put me down, my friend is still in there," Astrid struggled in his arms, trying to get down.
"The bar owner took his men to stop the fight. Your friend will be fine," Ethan Thompson said as he continued to walk out.
Astrid turned her head to look at the fight, and sure enough, the two groups of people were being separated by others. Emily seemed to have not noticed her situation and was busy tending to her friend's head wound with a tissue.
She was put into a car, and soon after, the tall figure of the man got in as well.
Liam and the other two stood at the door of the bar, all stunned. They had been friends with Ethan for so many years, but they had never seen him fight for a woman, let alone carry her so gently into a car.
hehe...one of Ethan's friends Gibson Slade laughed out and said "Liam, did you just say in front of Ethan that you like this woman? And that she's spicy and wild?
Hahaha, no wonder Ethan looked at you like he wanted to kill you," their friend Bennett Windsor laughed heartily, while the only female in the gang Abigail Kings joined in.
Liam wanted to cry. He regretted saying those words in front of Ethan.
"If I had known that she was the woman Ethan was interested in, even if you gave me a hundred guts, I wouldn't have said those things."
"Get in the car!"
Ethan instructed the driver to take them to the hospital.
Meanwhile the bodyguards got hold of all the people that bullied Astrid Green who were second rich generation kids who couldn't handle the beating, when assistant Wilson saw that they looked like they wanted to faint from the beating, he commanded the bodyguards to throw them into the huge thrash can in front of the bar and let their families come get them.
All of these Astrid had no idea about.
Going to the hospital, not a hotel, made Astrid breathe a sigh of relief.
However, why did they have to go to the hospital? Did he get injured?
She looked at him, but he reached out and grabbed one of her legs, placing it gently on his thigh. There was a not-too-deep cut on her ankle, bleeding slightly.
Astrid didn't even notice it, but Ethan did.
There were no medical supplies in the car, so Ethan carefully wiped away the blood around the wound with a wet tissue and then pressed on the wound.
"Don't come to the bar again in the future!" His tone was cold and firm.
Astrid raised her eyebrows, smiling, and put her foot down from his thigh.
"Thank you for your concern, Ethan, but I am an adult, and where I go is my freedom."
She pursed her lips, staring at the man's beautiful eyes and asked, "Ethan, you saved me tonight.... She paused ... Do you perhaps have feelings for me?.
