Kengetsu led one of the three teams assigned to the high A-rank mission. His squad included Yukina, Mei, Koko, Yagura, Ameyuri, Zabuza, Mangetsu, Hiro, and Shingo Chano—the eldest son and heir of Shiro, head of the Chano Clan.
Shingo wore the traditional Chūnin attire of Kirigakure, and three medium-sized scrolls strapped to his back.
He had spiky brown hair and sharp brown eyes, an ordinary face, and a lean yet muscular build.
Four days had passed since they left the main camp, moving swiftly from tree to tree in a tight three-line formation.
As they sped along the route that had been assigned to them, Yukina turned to Kengetsu and asked.
"Kengetsu-senpai, what is the strategy?"
Kengetsu smiled upon hearing Yukina's question and replied.
"Our first priority is to pinpoint the Konoha escort team and identify their captain."
"Once we confirm the Jonin captain leading Konoha's escort team, our next step is to assess whether the team includes any Uchiha or Hyuga shinobi."
Yukina and the others nodded in agreement, but after a moment, Yukina looked at Kengetsu and said.
"Kengetsu-senpai, I've perfected a camouflage jutsu. With it, I can slip into Konoha's supplies undetected and sabotage them—either by poisoning or destroying their provisions."
Hearing this, Kengetsu and the others froze mid-step. Their eyes gleamed with interest as they looked at Yukina in surprise.
Kengetsu paused in thought before reaching into his pouch. He pulled out some explosive tags and a small bottle filled with green powder, handing them to Yukina.
"My initial plan was for you and Koko to sabotage Konoha's supplies. However, now that I know you can use a camouflage jutsu, you'll be more effective operating alone while the rest of us divert their attention."
Yukina smiled upon hearing this and nodded her head.
"You can count on me, Kengetsu-senpai. I won't disappoint you."
Kengetsu gave a small smile and nodded, and the group pressed forward, eyes sharp for any sign of the Konoha escort team.

Yukina and the others leapt silently from tree to tree when she suddenly sensed the presence of ten nearby shinobi, their chakra signatures unmistakable.
She quickly raised her hand, looked at Kengetsu, and said.
"I sense ten chakra signatures belonging to shinobi, Kengetsu-senpai. They're definitely Konoha shinobi."
Kengetsu's lips curled into a bloodthirsty smirk as he heard this, and he immediately gave his orders.
"Good. Into position, all of you. We're setting up an ambush."
"SWISH!"
After hearing Kengetsu's order Yukina and the others quickly hid themselves between the tree branches and got ready to ambush Konoha escort team.
A satisfied nod escaped Kengetsu as he watched his team flawlessly hide themselves, ready to ambush the Konoha escort team at a moment's notice.
He then said to them.
"Listen carefully. Our first priority is to determine if any Hyuga or Uchiha shinobi are part of the Konoha escort team."
"If there was then our first objective is to force Konoha escort team to sperate after we sperate them I will deal with the Jonins and you will deal with the rest."
After hearing Kengetsu's instructions, Yukina and the others nodded in unison. Kengetsu narrowed his eyes slightly before continuing.
"Yukina, your objective is Konoha's supplies. Assess them carefully—destroy anything that isn't food. If it is food, contaminate it with the poison I gave you. Use your camouflage jutsu and suppress your chakra completely. You must remain undetected."
Yukina nodded, acknowledging Kengetsu's order.
"Understood."
After a brief pause, Kengetsu continued.
"If there are no Hyuga or Uchiha shinobi among them, Koko you will start by casting wide range disorienting genjutsu, and Ameyuri you will follow up by executing your Hidden Mist Jutsu."
"We'll begin the slaughter once the genjutsu and Hidden Mist Jutsu are in place. If the supplies they are guarding were food, only a few will be spared; if not, none will survive."
Yukina and the others exchanged bloodthirsty smirks and nodded at Kengetsu.
"Understood."

After fifteen minutes
Yukina and the others saw the Konoha escort team moving along the route, guarding a carriage, and Kengetsu smirked as he spotted the Jonin leading them.
'Interesting… this is Shinosuke Sarutobi, the Third Hokage's eldest son. I've heard he's quite a skilled shinobi. If I manage to kill him here, it will be quite the accomplishment.'
He then cast a quick glance at the rest of the Konoha escort team, and his eyes lit up with satisfaction.
'Good. There are no Uchiha or Hyuga shinobi in this team. This mission is going to be much easier than I expected.'
Slowly, Kengetsu turned to Yukina, letting his gaze settle on hers.
"Yukina get going."
Yukina smirked, nodded, and quickly executed three hand seals.
"Ninja Art: Invisible Wolf Jutsu."
In the blink of an eye, Yukina faded from view and advanced toward the carriage that Konoha escort were guarding.
Kengetsu's lips curled into a smirk when Yukina had vanished from sight, her chakra completely undetectable.
'Impressive… this camouflage jutsu is remarkable. It must be at least a B-rank, maybe even an A-rank jutsu.'
He then turned to the others and said.
"Since there are no Uchiha or Hyuga shinobi among the Konoha escort team, Koko began casting the wide range disorienting genjutsu, and Ameyuri start executing the Hidden Mist Jutsu."
With a silent nod, Koko and Ameyuri moved in perfect sync, their fingers weaving the hand seals with practiced precision.
"Hidden Mist Jutsu."
"False Surrounding."
