She is staring at her school now; it's the start of the school year again. She can't believe she is here, stepping in as if nothing happened during their semestral break. Thalia quietly entered their classroom.
She sat quietly, hearing the chatter of her classmates, and suddenly someone tapped her shoulder.
Chesca greeted her with a smile, no longer hiding her true identity as a Fuego.
"Good morning," Chesca greeted her.
She smiled back then. "Good morning, too, Chesca."
Chesca sat beside her. Nothing had changed in their classroom, and Jake was still their adviser back then.
Chesca felt happy that her brother had tried Sir Jake's idea, and she secretly observed him reading notes, pleased to see that he had become serious and interested in studying again.
So many unexpected events have happened in her life. Their adviser had already entered, so everyone and Thalia stood up at that moment.
She also heard that their guardian, Chesca and Mikaela, was Sir Jake.
After their class, it was also their recess time. They were heading to the canteen when they ran into Gerald and Ericka.
They both sat down at the vacant table, and then Ericka came over. She also sat down.
She just smiled at the two.
"How's your new classroom?" she asked Gerald.
"The school here is really beautiful and nice." Gerald scanned their surroundings.
Thalia and Chesca could only laugh softly.
"I still can't believe we're still alive today, Thalia." That's all she heard from Ericka.
She just nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I still can't believe we're still here."
"Let's visit Jasmin later." Ericka said to her.
"Isn't her 40 days over?" she asked her companion.
"I want to visit her first." She said.
Thalia knew that Ericka missed Jasmin. "Yes, I'll go with you. Are you coming with us, Chesca?" She turned to her companion.
"Sure." Chesca immediately nodded.
As they had discussed, they visited Jasmin's grave. It has been three months since Jasmin was shot, and yet, her sadness over what happened is still there. She just sighed.
Thalia offered a prayer and immediately lit the white candle, placing it in the holder. They saw a picture of Jasmin smiling happily, as if she were smiling at them.
So many things were happening that she thought she couldn't handle them in her mind.
They were there for a few minutes. When darkness fell, they all went home to their respective houses.
"Ta," called his brother.
"Yes, brother?" she asked.
"You seem to have taken a long time to get home."
"Ah, we just visited Jasmin's grave after class." Thalia immediately answered Felix's question.
Felix just nodded while reading the newspaper. Thalia just smiled at her brother.
"When is the placement test that sir mentioned, brother?" she asked.
"Ah, on Friday."
"You can do it, brother." Thalia even said it while tapping her sibling's back.
Felix looked at her and laughed at what she did. "Thank you."
"Of course, you can do it; we just inherited it from you." Thalia said while laughing.
"Thalia, you're already here; please help me out in the kitchen first." Her older sister said.
"Okay, sure, brother, I'll help Jen first." Saying goodbye to him.
He nodded and immediately went to the kitchen; Jenny was there, busy cooking.
"You're early today, sis?" she asked.
"Ah, yes, it's because my study load requires me to get home early all the time. Also, I chose that because my older brother is going to school. And we also need to adjust." Jenny said.
"Good thing he agreed," she said to her sibling.
"We shouldn't always depend on Brother; after all, we are adults now." Jenny just shook her head at her.
Thalia couldn't help but laugh at what her sister was saying now. Her sibling was right that they shouldn't rely on their older brother, because throughout their lives, when their parents passed away, Felix had been both a father and mother to them.
They will make up for it and support his decision.
"Thalia, can you call Greg first? He's playing in the living room." Her sibling said.
She immediately followed her sister. She saw her little brother happily playing.
"Greg," she called out to him.
Greg looked at her. "Come on."
He nodded and stood up, smiling at him. "You seem so happy today; did something happen?" she asked her brother.
"I got three stars today," he said, showing them in his hand.
"Wow, that's cool!" She immediately praised her sibling and held their hand. Her two siblings were already at the table.
"Greg, come on," Jenny urged. Thalia sat next to her sibling.
"Look! I have stars now!" They heard Greg say to them, still proud of their youngest.
They even saw him ruffle his hair. "Study well, okay?" That's all they heard from Felix.
"Of course," Greg even said it to them.
They happily chatted at the table, something they couldn't do before as siblings. The day of the test for her brother arrived, and they were overjoyed with the results because he passed and would proceed to college.
Her brother's chosen course is computer science, and he passed the entrance exam back then. Even if their lives change, they know they are heading toward a transformation that will be beneficial for each of their lives as siblings.
