"Eat first, Thalia," Felix spoke gently.
Jenny was surprised that this was the topic they would be discussing as siblings. Thalia glanced at her before focusing on the food in front of her. Jenny noticed Thalia quietly chewing, as if she couldn't even taste what she was eating. It had been a long time since she had wanted to speak to her sister like this.
Jenny then heard Felix let out a quiet sigh.
"Thalia, when are you leaving?" Felix asked, still watching his sister closely as she continued eating.
"Before our camping trip happened," she confessed at last.
"And you, Jenny?" he asked, turning his gaze to her, who had been silently listening until now.
"Since our parents died..." she replied with a trembling voice, trying to hold back her emotions.
"It's been a long time... What did you see in your premonition?" Felix asked again.
"Brother..." Jenny swallowed hard. "I told you before—I knew what would happen to our parents that night." A pang of guilt twisted deep inside her as she recalled the tragedy. Her hands clenched into fists.
"Greg... You see them, don't you?" Felix then asked their youngest sibling, who had remained quiet.
"Yes. I can see all of them," he finally said.
"You can talk to them too, right?" Felix asked again.
Their youngest, who was quietly holding on to Thalia's sleeve, simply nodded.
"I know I've wronged you all greatly, but I just wanted to protect you using the abilities I have." He turned his attention back to Jenny. "Your premonition earlier—was it from the scene?"
Jenny was caught off guard and met her brother's gaze. The hair on her arms stood on end, and she rubbed them to calm herself. "Yes, brother. Earlier... I saw what happened. And it felt so real." The memory still haunted her.
Felix reached over and gently ruffled her hair.
"Our abilities now are connected to a past I've been trying desperately to forget." His voice was heavier now. He looked at each of them carefully.
"W–What do you mean, brother?" Jenny asked, her mind in turmoil. But she was determined to understand everything—she needed the answers to the questions that had plagued her for so long.
"The Fuegos."
"Fuego? W–What do we have to do with the Fuego family?" Thalia asked in shock.
Jenny gasped. She also knew something. "Fuego… are the deaths of Fernan and his siblings related to them? Is that it?" She had seen her cousin's death in a premonition. She chose to remain silent back then, afraid of getting involved in the mess they had caused.
Thalia frowned and scratched her head.
"Yes. Fernan was involved with the Fuegos, and so was I. I helped him in his plan to rescue the two other Fuego children."
Jenny suddenly broke into a cold sweat as the memories of her premonitions rushed back. She also noticed Thalia's reaction at that moment.
"Mikaela Fuego," Thalia said, as if trying to grasp the image in her mind.
She swallowed hard. She knew Mikaela—Ellese Fuego's twin. She had seen her many times in her visions, running through the forest with Ruth, searching for something.
Ruth's true identity could no longer be hidden. She and Thalia had talked earlier before this heavy conversation began. Ruth's real name was Chesca Fuego.
"Chesca Fuego..." Thalia said slowly, her memory piecing things together.
"Brother... Ruth and Chesca... they're the same person, aren't they?" she asked, noticing the fear in his eyes.
He didn't respond at first, but the truth was already in the silence. This was why he had Ruth watched—because he knew the truth through his own ability.
"Yes. Ruth and Chesca are one and the same," Felix admitted, his tone firm and sincere.
Thalia said nothing. She had become friends with Chesca at school.
"Thalia, even if her identity was a lie, whoever Ruth was to you before—she's still Ruth," Felix gently reminded her.
Jenny saw her sister simply nod, unwilling or unable to speak further.
"With the help of others in the organization, Fernan was able to save Mikaela first, then Chesca. But Chesca suffered from deep trauma after everything she went through. When her lost memories resurface, she experiences severe, relentless headaches," their older brother continued.
"Her memory was wiped—with the help of a kind-hearted person who also knew her real identity. The Dionson family took her in, hiding her truth and raising her as Ruth Dalia Dionson."
"I arranged Ruth's documents to make it appear she was the only child of the Dionsons, brought from abroad to return to the Philippines. Since Chesca wasn't widely known, it worked."
"My premonitions were real, brother. I know you're involved in everything that's happening." Jenny's fists clenched tighter. She remembered the vision that her brother was in danger.
"Don't you realize you're putting yourself at risk?" She looked at Felix with a mixture of anger and pain.
"And about our parents—please, brother... tell us the truth," Thalia pleaded.
"Was the Fuego family involved in their deaths?"
The question hung heavy in the air. Felix didn't answer immediately. Though his face remained calm, the weight of the truth was already showing.
"Brother... I understand you're helping someone right now, but the things you're doing—they're hurting you," Jenny said, frustration and concern overlapping in her tone.
Felix offered a faint, sorrowful smile. "Jenny, I can't stop now. I have to do this."
He turned to Thalia next.
"Your journey is becoming deeper, Thalia. Have you been to that place?" he asked.
Jenny glanced between her siblings, confused and worried. She didn't understand what place they were referring to.
Thalia didn't respond immediately. Felix waited patiently.
"I saw them," Thalia finally said. "They were restless, Brother. They became lost souls."
"Lost souls?" Jenny repeated silently, her heart pounding. She didn't know if she could still process what she was hearing tonight.
