Bored, he wandered Konoha's streets.
"Tengen!" A voice called, startling him. He turned, relaxing at the sight of Shizune alone.
"Shizune, don't scare me like that." Tengen relieved. He dreaded running into Tsunade after yesterday's fiasco.
"Oh." Shizune nodded.
"Shizune, you're not with Tsunade-sama?" Tengen asked.
"No, I am." Shizune shook her head. "But she stepped away to handle something."
"Got it. Catch you later, Shizune." Tengen's eager to avoid Tsunade's potential return.
Time would dull her anger.
Suddenly, his heart skipped. He leaped forward, landing beside Shizune, as the ground exploded behind him, shattered stones scattering.
"Tsunade-sama." Tengen forcing a grin at the smiling but clearly unamused Tsunade.
Her foot rested on a cracked road, chakra radiating, an unhappy sight.
"Shizune, go." Tengen said, his form blurring into a black shadow, retreating too fast for Tsunade to pursue.
"Damn Tengen." Tsunade muttered, gritting her teeth.
"Tsunade-sama, you okay?" Shizune asked.
"Fine. If you see that pervert again, don't hold back." Tsunade told her.
"Wasn't it an accident? Tengen didn't know we were there." Shizune said.
"Accident?" Tsunade huffed. Shizune didn't know Tengen had copped a feel during the chaos.
She'd never admit it.
At a Konoha training ground, Tengen arrived, finding it empty. Leaning against a tree, he lit a cigarette.
"Tsunade didn't follow." He exhaling smoke.
In the ninja world, Tengen aimed to live freely. His system gave him an edge over ordinary shinobi.
Teasing Tsunade was part of his carefree streak.
He refused to live oppressed like others.
A familiar voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Phew, Guy, you again." Tengen glancing over him.
"Found me quick, Tengen!" Guy grinned, his teeth gleaming brightly.
Tengen rolled his eyes. A green-clad figure was hard to miss. "If I didn't notice you, I'd need glasses."
"Guy, you up for it?" Tengen eyeing Guy's enthusiasm.
"You bet! It's been ages since we sparred. Loser runs twenty laps around Konoha!"
"Oh?" Tengen's eyes glinted. "Guy, ready?"
"Ready!" Guy struck a fighting pose.
"What?" Guy's face shifted as Tengen vanished, a fist growing larger in his vision.
Boom!
Tengen's punch met Guy's palm, the force sending Guy flying.
Tengen pursued like a shadow.
"Leaf Great Whirlwind!" Tengen's leg whipped up, a gust chasing Guy's airborne form.
Guy slammed his feet into the ground, twisting his body, power coiling.
"Leaf Great Whirlwind!"
They unleashed the same technique.
Bang! Bang!
Their attacks collided, one figure blasted back, feet skidding, leaving a long gouge.
Dozens of meters away, Guy halted, panting, facing a calm Tengen. "Tengen, you're too good. I lost. I'll find you again!"
Guy dashed off to fulfill his bet, circling Konoha.
Soon, a green blur would streak around the village.
"Guess I'll head back and wait for night." Tengen's leaving the training ground.
Night fell, and Konoha grew quiet.
Even ninjas needed rest; they weren't machines.
A masked figure appeared near Root's headquarters.
It was Tengen, disguised with the Transformation Jutsu and a mask.
He'd rely solely on the Pseudo One-Punch Man Training Method and Armament Haki, avoiding ninjutsu to conceal his identity.
"Here we go." Tengen said, his gaze sharpening. His legs exploded with power, propelling him toward Root's base.
His speed tore the air, sonic booms echoing.
