Pushing down on the handle, Luna walked into the living room. Cheerfully, she faced the portrait of the girl she asked for advice and said, "I'm back! I wasn't gone for long! But here, I found this book!" Luna showcased the book towards the girl, her eyes glimmering in excitement.
"There wasn't much to see beside this book! I found that there are pages that fit perfectly into this book, and so I want to find them and return it to the person who it belongs to!"
Luna placed the book on her stomach, holding it with an overhand grip. She looked at the girl properly and noticed that she was placed in a different position than before, a bit closer to the frame.
The girl in the portrait was looking back at Luna, and she had that warm smile that Aria always did whenever she thought I wasn't looking.
Luna shrugged it off by thinking, Magical people do magical things, I guess.
"Mhm, Lady! Where should I go now! I went to the left door before, so now… Where should I go?"
The girl's response was just to look forwards, so Luna looked behind her. She saw the lit fireplace and the door to its right. She lit up with a growing smile and sharply turned towards her, saying, "Thank you! I'll go there now!"
Taking a few steps backwards, she scratched her cheek before saying, "Before, I found this book, now—what will I find? I am sure that I will find something! Thank you again!" She turned and rushed towards that door.
I'm pretty sure I saw most of the rooms that are in a palace, they will probably repeat or something…
Luna slowed down before the door and turned her head back, seeing the girl from the portrait staring at her with a warm gaze. She thought, I need to ask her for her name. If she can speak, I mean she can hear me, so I think we will be able to figure it out somehow.
Luna smiled from ear to ear and grabbed the handle, pushing it down. She rushed through the frame, but to her surprise, she began falling as there was no floor nor ceiling beneath and above her.
Luna, from the excitement, screamed atop of her lungs as she fell. For a second, she began falling upwards somehow. Luna didn't understand it as she spun mid-air; she began flying upwards at a tremendous speed while spinning..
Just as her head began spinning, the door far away above her began to open as Luna flew through its frame and came to a stop on her feet. Her head was spinning and her hair was fluffed up from the wind she felt before.
She fell down to her knees as she rubbed her eyes. Looking around, her world still spun, but all she could see was a pitch-white room with a door, a navy blue sofa and a table with a strange floating stone above it.
Luna caressed her hair into a more straightened position and she stood up, thinking, What was that?
Just as she stood up, her stomach gurgled and she gripped her mouth as she was about to throw up from the many spins she was forced to do. "Ughhh." She swallowed whatever she had eaten before that was coming up.
"Ugh, I hate throwing up. It's so unpleasant. But that was then, now let's see what is here!"
Luna slowly walked up to the sofa, her mouth growing agape as she admired the stone dimly shining with a white glow around its edges.
Without any hesitation, Luna jumped over the sofa and landed sitting down, and she picked up the floating stone into her hand. That particular stone looked more like the diamonds that her father, Reed, was always talking about in his meetings while discussing trade with the south.
That stone was split into four pieces, only separated by a pitch-black line alongside the cracks. So Luna immediately pulled on it, spreading the pieces far apart, creating a semi-transparent space between themselves.
That agape Luna's mouth grew into a wide smile as she spread the pieces further and further apart.
Spreading it to the size of her full arm extension, she couldn't help but touch that space, but it rippled as she did.
So she pushed onto it, and as she did, her hand disappeared somewhere. So Luna looked behind the space, but her hand was gone.
Luna pulled on her hand, feeling if anything was wrong, but there was nothing wrong with it.
So she pushed her head into it. With her eyes closed, she peaked out of the space and she saw the palace she was in from above, far away. But as she admired the view, something loud started falling from above. So Luna looked up, turning her head, and she was met with a wave of 'Water'.
She tried to avoid it while coming back out of the space, but it was too late. She was hit with the stream of 'Water', making her head all wet.
But she managed to come out of it. It was similar to a 'portal' she knew. Her head was all wet, and her hair was drenched in warm 'Water.'
But strangely, the 'Water' in her hair began slowly evaporating, leaving her dry again.
She closed the 'portal' by placing the shards into place and put it into her pocket. Agh!!!! That scared me to the bone! But! It was amazing! It looked like the portal Dad was talking about!
I'll take it with me, maybe it will be useful somewhere! But strangely, this place is really white. The owner really likes weird places, like that weird room that made me fly.
Now let's see what's behind those doors, Luna thought as she stood up and walked towards the door, caressing her hair as she did to straighten it out.
Pushing down on the handle, she found herself in a corridor, in a familiar place.
It was the main hall! Where she had first entered the palace, but with one difference—it was the second floor!
Luna had wandered before, wondering what was here, but now as she looked around, there was nothing to see. No doors, only a corridor. But Luna thought, It won't hurt to look around.
And so she did. She checked the left side, but there was nothing, so she went to the right side. Walking alongside the wooden arched pillars and railings, she arrived at the end of the corridor. She sighed and turned back, and noticed something hiding on the pillar, hanging.
It was a page!
A page? Luna exclaimed inwardly.
But that page loosened up and started slowly falling down to the first floor. But Luna, with her trained reflexes, caught that page and chuckled, saying, "I caught you! Now let's see what's written on it!"
She looked at the page, and as she read it, she grew more confused, murmuring, "What?"
