Ren and Darius stared into each other's eyes. The atmosphere was intense.
Ren said, "Yes, we are."
Darius replied with anger, "How dare you attack my comrades?"
He moved at high speed and swung his sword directly at Ren's neck. Ren blocked it with his fist, using Atomic Control to release a powerful shockwave that pushed Darius back.
Darius managed to reduce the impact by using Ice Magic. He looked shocked.
"What kind of magic is this…?" he muttered.
Suddenly, a beam of Plasma Magic shot toward him. Darius quickly formed ice beneath his feet to increase his speed and dodged it just in time.
"You both have such powerful magic," Darius said. "Then why don't you serve the king and prove your loyalty?"
Ren, now furious, shouted, "Wait, what?! You want us to serve that bastard ruler? Are you stupid or something? I'm not going to be his servant—I'm going to be his executioner!"
Darius narrowed his eyes. "Why do you even want to kill him?"
Ren replied, "A ruler like him should be dead. The one who attacks his own land doesn't deserve to rule. Can't you see it?"
Darius paused for a moment. "Yes… you're right. I don't really see any reason for attacking this village. If I have to be honest… I'm not loyal to him."
Ren looked confused. "Then why are you fighting for him?"
Darius answered, "I serve one of the great ten warriors… also known as the Celestial Warriors. One of them is The Frost Queen,Eva Frost who I truly show my loyalty to."
Ren asked, "Huh? What is a Celestial Warrior?"
Darius looked serious. "Will you join us?"
Ren replied instantly, "Absolutely not."
Suddenly, Ren had a strange vision—Darius cutting off Ryota's head. He snapped out of it, and in reality, Darius had already rushed toward Ryota.
Ren moved with insane speed and blocked Darius's attack. Darius was shocked and stepped back.
Ren thought, So the Foresight worked…
Darius said, "I don't know how you managed to stop me, but it doesn't matter."
Ren and Ryota stood side by side, preparing for the next move.
Ren shouted, "Ryota! Use Plasma Magic with full power!"
Darius launched a huge ice spell toward them.
Ryota used all his strength and released a massive blast of Plasma Magic.
The two forces collided—BOOM!—a huge explosion occurred. Smoke covered the battlefield.
When the smoke cleared, Darius stood with one of his arms gone. The Plasma Magic had completely dominated. But Ryota had fainted from using all his power.
Darius, breathing heavily, said, "How can you have such potential…"
He used Ice Magic to create a new arm.
Filled with rage, he growled, "This scar… I will never forgive you."
