After Grandpa Dario stopped hugging Paola, he gently cleaned the tears that kept on escaping from her eyes.
"It's alright, my dear. I will scold your parents for you. But, what should I do with you? You love Spencer and would not allow me to tell your parents and Spencer's parents to break off the engagement". Grandpa Dario said to Paola, and Paola tried her best not to open her mouth in disbelief.
'Her fiancé hates her, and she doesn't want to break up with him? Be still, Paola. It hasn't been a full day since you took over Piper's body. Before a week passes by, I will tell Grandpa to help me break off the stupid engagement. I don't have the time to be engaged to some aloof business tycoon when I have to be busy loading my bank account with endless money'. Paola thought to herself.
She sniffed her nose as she held Grandpa Dario's hands and said to him, "Don't worry about me, grandpa. I know that soon, my love for Spencer Turner is going to fade away, and I will personally end the one-sided relationship".
'Seriously, I must end this nonsense relationship since it currently concerns me. I am now Piper Graham, and I don't plan to please any man or marry the one who did not love me'. She thought, before she added, "Grandpa, you should have woken me sooner and allowed me to prepare breakfast for us. I can't allow you to do that when I am here".
Grandpa Dario made Paola let go of his hands before he touched her forehead. "Your temperature is normal, but are you sure you are not sick, Piper?". He asked her.
"What do you mean, grandpa?". Paola asked. She didn't understand why grandpa Dario said that to her.
Grandpa Dario removed his hand from Paola's forehead. Then he said to her, "But you don't know how to cook. So how can I allow you to prepare breakfast?".
'Oh. I remembered that Piper can't cook'. She inwardly exclaimed after realizing the mistake she had made.
To cover up, she pitifully added, "But grandpa, you know I care about you. At your age, you should not be doing stuff like that. And, I can learn how to cook".
Grandpa Dario couldn't help but chuckle after listening to what Paola said to him.
"You really take after your grandma and not that selfish daughter of mine. But, who told you I was weak? I am a very strong grandpa and a very strong farmer. Doing stuff like that is not a big deal for me". Grandpa Dario proudly raised his chin as he bragged to Paola. After he succeeded at making Paola laugh, he looked at her with eyes filled with warmth and care.
He caressed the side of her cheek as he said to her, "Don't cry anymore, Piper. You know, I hate to see you sad. Whatever is bothering you, always feel free to tell me about them. I am your grandpa. I will listen to you and definitely help you".
"Thanks, grandpa". She said to him and rested her cheek on his palm, which was caressing her cheek.
"That's my granddaughter. Alright, let's go and have breakfast. I have to go to my farm after having breakfast".
Hearing the word 'farm' caused Paola's ears to perk with excitement. If she had not been careful, she would have exploded because of how excited she was.
"Em, grandpa, I will join you for breakfast in a minute". She said to him, and he nodded at her in acknowledgment before he left.
Paola closed the door to her room, causing Foxy to reveal himself.
He watched Paola walk to the wall mirror and stood in front of it.
Staring at her reflection in the mirror, a smile appeared on Paola's face.
"Piper is a beauty to behold. But, why is it that the beautiful ones always allow others to break their hearts?". Paola said as she touched her face.
The colour of her waist-length hair and her eyes were brown, the same colour that her previous body had.
But compared to her previous body, Piper's body and beauty were breathtaking.
Piper looked like a real life doll and her figure was exceptionally created perfectly.
Piper has an innocent-looking face and a soft heart, but her eyes were naturally fierce, making her face look innocent and deadly at the same time.
"I will make good use of this once in a lifetime opportunity and never let myself down again". Paola clenched her fists as she said this.
Turning to Foxy, she said to him, "Come on, let's go join Piper's grandpa for breakfast and keep him company".
. Foxy said.
He followed Paola out of the bedroom before he returned to being invisible.
"You only turned invisible, right? You are by my side, right?".
Paola arrived in the dining room, where she saw grandpa Dario sitting in one of the dining chairs.
She joined him by sitting next to him.
When she noticed that Grandpa Dario hadn't touched his food, Paola asked him, "Why have you not eaten anything, grandpa? By chance, were you waiting for me?".
"Yes. Eating breakfast with family is the most important event of the day. And since you are here with me, I didn't want to miss it. Always remember this teaching, Piper".
"Sure, grandpa". She replied to him.
Grandpa Dario prayed over the food, before he gestured to Paola to eat.
Paola, who had been salivating over the fried eggs, bacon and toasted bread, began to eat without hesitation.
Was it because she died without eating dinner? Was that why she was starving right now?
