Chapter 64 - Chapter 64 North Star Train

Chapter 64 North Star Train

The next day.

The North Star Train departed from Tokyo.

In the Royal Suite, Chi Feichi was looking through the documents to be sent to Hokkaido.

Contracts, Cancellation Agreements, Appointment Approvals, New Project Plans... all documents that needed Chi Shinnosuke's personal signature, adding up to a thick stack.

Darcy sat upright beside him, staring at the backpack placed on the table.

He knew Young Master Hissashi's Pet Snake was in the backpack, but ever since they boarded the train, the snake had been restlessly rolling around inside...

Chi Feichi roughly read through the documents, put them into the File Bag and set it aside. He looked up and noticed Darcy staring intently at the backpack, "What's wrong?"

Darcy asked directly, "Is your pet not feeling well?"

"It's nothing," Chi Feichi said dismissively, "It's probably just bored and finding its own fun. Don't mind it."

Yesterday, after getting mobile phones and computers for the two pets, they became addicted to chatting and couldn't pull themselves away.

Feimo planned to recruit a few more teams of crows as informants. He stayed behind in Tokyo and didn't come along, even creating a Chat Room called [Non-Ink] and adding both his and Hissashi's accounts.

Hissashi had been hiding in the backpack since they boarded the train. It was obvious he was chatting with Feimo again...

Darcy nodded, not pressing the matter further, and stood up, saying, "It's time for your medicine. I'll get you some hot water."

Chi Feichi tried to persuade Darcy, "Darcy, those medicines have side effects, and taking too much isn't good for you..."

"The Boss told me to make sure you take your medicine, please don't make it difficult for me." Darcy bowed to Chi Feichi, then turned and left the Room.

Chi Feichi felt a headache coming on.

Yesterday afternoon, when he sparred with Darcy, Darcy held back and even deliberately went easy on him, so they couldn't even really fight.

Afterward, he suggested that if he won the spar, Darcy should stop watching him take his medicine. This would make Darcy take it seriously and also motivate him, and maybe he could even have a legitimate reason not to take the medicine. But Darcy immediately retorted, "I can't use Mr. Shinnosuke's instructions as a bet," shutting him down.

This guy was definitely a rigid and stubborn person!

Darcy returned with a cup of hot water, placed it on the table, and stepped aside. "Young Master Hissashi, it seems the famous Detective Mori Kogoro is also on this train. When I went to get the hot water, I happened to see him coming out of the Smoking Room, and it seems he's staying in the room diagonally across from ours."

Chi Feichi's eyes paused for a moment, but his movements were decisive. He pretended to swallow the pill, but actually used the Coin Hiding Technique to conceal it between his fingers. He picked up the cup and took a sip of warm water. "Is anyone else with him?"

Darcy didn't notice Chi Feichi's subtle movements. "When he opened his room door, I heard children talking."

"Hmm, we can go say hello later." Chi Feichi set down his cup and slipped the pill into his pocket as he picked up his mobile phone.

Sure enough, Hissashi had sent him a bunch of private messages.

[Master, is Conan here too?]

[Master, why not go say hello?]

[Master, it's really boring here. Darcy is no fun at all. Let's go find Conan and play!]

Chi Feichi didn't reply immediately, and instead checked the Bounty Board.

There are many train incidents in "Detective Conan." At first, he hadn't noticed anything wrong with the North Star Train, but now that the Death God Elementary School Student is here, something is bound to happen.

The early incidents involving luxury trains... it should be the case where the criminal imitates Kudo Yusaku's unpublished novel to commit crimes. He remembered there was a pretty valuable Wanted Criminal involved...

Darcy watched Chi Feichi looking down at his mobile phone, standing rigidly beside him, eyes straight ahead.

Chi Feichi found Asama Yasuji's information and sent it to Hissashi: [Asama Yasuji is on the train]

Asama Yasuji started robbing ten years ago, and since then, he's committed a crime every two or three years. The most recent one was just a week ago, and he still hasn't been arrested. He's worth 3.5 million Japanese Yen, just like Numabuchi Kiichiro, already the highest official bounty.

Hissashi read through the information and immediately got excited. Hiding in the backpack, he messaged Chi Feichi back: [Master, are we going to capture him?]

Chi Feichi turned to look at the car window. Capturing him wasn't the problem; the problem was what to do with him after he was captured.

This train goes directly from Tokyo to Hokkaido and won't stop at any other stations along the way. The car windows can't be opened, and the only way to get out is to break a window, so there's no way to quietly get Asama Yasuji off the train midway.

He couldn't just keep him hidden in the room the whole time and then take him to the police station in Hokkaido, could he?

Darcy would be with him the whole time, making it hard to hide someone in the room. And even if he did manage to hide him, how would he get an unconscious person off the train?

Taking action on a train that doesn't stop midway was risky enough, and with Conan watching him like a hawk, he could easily slip up.

But... what if Asama Yasuji cooperated?

Whether it works or not, he had to try. If he didn't even try, wouldn't that 3.5 million Japanese Yen just go to waste...?

Hissashi didn't get a response for a while and sent another message: [Master?]

Chi Feichi used his mobile phone to send the Action Plan to Hissashi and also replied to a message from Morizono Kikuto. Estimating that Hissashi had finished reading it, he put the File Bag into his Backpack. "Darcy, let's go have dinner."

While Chi Feichi was putting away the documents, Hissashi took the opportunity to climb into his sleeve, slithering up Chi Feichi's arm.

"When I went to get hot water, they were already preparing dinner in the Dining Car, but if we go now, we might still have to wait a bit."

"No problem."

After they left the room, Hissashi quietly slipped out from under Chi Feichi's pant leg, carrying a torn Paper Slip and a pen in his mouth. He hid in a dark corner, looked around, and started writing by biting the pen.

Chi Feichi walked towards the Dining Car and excused himself to go to the restroom. Once inside, he took out a capsule filled with Ether from his lighter and wedged it into the Vent. He then used a mop and bucket to prop up a step leading to the Vent, flushed the pill down the toilet, and left.

At 6:30 PM, Mori Kogoro opened the door to his room and turned back to Mouri Ran and Conan. "Oh, right! Miss Xia Jiang seems to have booked dinner for us. Let's go to the Dining Car together!"

Bang! A man walking with his head down bumped into Mori Kogoro.

The man irritably pulled down his mask. "Bastard! Where are your eyes?"

From the corner at the end of the corridor, Hissashi stared intently at the man.

Even though the man was disguised, Master had said that anyone wearing a trench coat, mask, and hat, all bundled up and showing up in front of Conan to make a point, was definitely Asama Yasuji.

After Asama Yasuji realized who he had just yelled at, his expression changed slightly. "You're..."

"Huh?" Mori Kogoro looked confused.

Asama Yasuji pointed at Mori Kogoro. "Aren't you..."

"Huh?" Mori Kogoro remained confused.

Asama Yasuji didn't finish his sentence, pulled up his mask, and turned to leave.

"What's wrong?" Mouri Ran asked, stepping out of the room.

"I don't know." Mori Kogoro was also puzzled by Asama Yasuji's strange reaction. He turned to leave. "Never mind, let's go to the Dining Car for dinner. I heard tonight's dinner is French cuisine..."

Conan looked back with a puzzled expression, but Asama Yasuji had already quickly retreated into his room.

After Conan left, Hissashi, still carrying the paper with writing on it, moved towards Asama Yasuji's room.

Inside the room, Asama Yasuji leaned against the door, pulled down his mask, and let out a long sigh of relief. "Damn it! Mori Kogoro is here too? How come I didn't hear about this..."

Knock, knock, knock. There was a knock on the door. Asama Yasuji cautiously stepped back, not rushing to open it. "Who is it?"

There was no response from Outside the Door. A Note was slipped under the door.

Asama Yasuji frowned, stepped forward, and picked up the paper strip, looking at the messy handwriting on it.

[Asama Yasuji, your location has been compromised. If you don't want to be surrounded and captured by the police at the terminal station, come to Washroom No. 04 in front of the Dining Car alone. And don't tell anyone else.]

"Damn it!" A fierce look flashed in Asama Yasuji's eyes. After stuffing the paper strip into his pocket, he opened the door a crack, checked that no one was outside, and then stepped out of his room, heading quickly towards Washroom No. 04 with his head down.

If they were the police, they would just capture him directly. Being this secretive, they must have other motives.

He wanted to see what tricks they were trying to pull!

Washroom No. 04 was relatively secluded, and since it was dinner time, not many people were wandering around in this area.

Asama Yasuji opened the restroom door with his left hand, his right hand gripping his gun tightly. He was surprised to find no one inside. Turning his head, he saw a paper stuck to the mirror—

[Close the restroom door and wait for me inside.]

While Asama Yasuji's attention was drawn to the paper strip, Hissashi quickly slipped into the restroom, climbed up the mop and bucket to the Vent, and found the capsule wedged there.

"What the hell is going on?" Asama Yasuji frowned and closed the restroom door.

At the same moment, Hissashi used his tail to puncture the capsule of Ether, darted towards the Entrance, and with a flick of his tail, hit the lock, clicking it shut.

"What...?" Asama Yasuji had just turned his head, not even seeing what had flown past, when he collapsed to the ground.
