Suddenly falling into those deep eyes, but after just a second, she lowered her head again.
"Thank you, Third Brother, for bringing me back. I-I'll head in now."
Nan Ze couldn't remember how many times she had said 'thank you' tonight—from falling down the stairs, to accidentally spilling juice, to the birthday gift, to taking her home...
He said nothing, and Shen Zhimei sat on pins and needles.
After getting out of the car, she politely said, "My house is just inside, it's only two minutes away. Third Brother, you must be busy, I won't take up your time. Be careful on the road."
After speaking, she turned and walked into the alley, her steps a bit chaotic.
"Stop."
The deep and slow voice sounded behind her, non-aggressive but it made Shen Zhimei's feet feel welded to the ground, unable to move a step.
Nan Ze looked at the girl's suddenly rigid back and couldn't help but curl his lips.
"Use this for light, watch your step."
