Emily Dormer felt a chill wash over her body due to her imagination, hugging herself, and trembling as she spoke, "Merlin, please speed up, they are catching up."
She fumbled her phone out of her pocket, her fingers trembling as she dialed Charles Hyde's number. It rang three times before the call was finally picked up.
A slightly impatient male voice came through, just as detached as the person had always made her feel, "What is it?"
"Uncle Hyde," Emily Dormer's voice shook, "Brandan is catching up. What should I do? He's right behind me, is he going to kill me?"
"What?"
Charles Hyde's voice grew slightly louder, "Are you saying he's in Columbia?"
"Yes, I saw him, he's right here!" Emily said quickly, hearing the roar of engines growing closer behind her, her heart almost leaping out of her chest, "Uncle Hyde, what should I do? I don't want to die, what about my baby?"
"I told you a few days ago to be careful, did you not listen?"
