Iris Harris avoided his lips and shrank back into the quilt, "You go to work. I'll sleep a little longer."
"Not going out today?"
"..." Iris paused and pursed her lips slightly, before saying after a moment, "Going."
"Remember to wear something warm when you go out."
Brandan Hyde knew she would feel bored staying home alone, and it wouldn't be bad to go out for some sun.
Iris Harris didn't enjoy shopping and had few hobbies. Now, the only pleasure she found was sitting in a coffee shop watching the scenery.
"I'll be done with work this week," as he dressed, back turned to Iris Harris, "How about we go to Paris?"
No response from behind.
Brandan Hyde turned around to see Iris Harris had fallen back asleep.
He watched her peaceful sleeping face, smiled involuntarily, and resisted the urge to kiss her, fearing waking her up. He stood by quietly for a moment before turning to leave.
...
Iris Harris, this time asleep, didn't wake until almost noon.
