The ball had landed, and the dust settled.
Finley Sutherland placed his racket on the ground, his face indifferent, "You guys won."
Ryan Seys was in anguish, "Finley, you old geezer, the last ball you hit went out!!"
And it was just barely out!! It almost touched the boundary line as it went out!!
Earlier, it was clear that Iris Seys couldn't catch the ball, and as long as it landed in bounds, they would have won. But then, this happened.
Ryan was about to explode with anger!!
Derek Brooke looked at Finley's indifferent face, his gaze falling on the tennis ball lying on the ground, his eyes deep.
Regarding Finley's comment about their win, Derek didn't show much joy, but rather gave Finley a long look and asked calmly, "Why?"
"Because I want to." Those three words were uttered proudly. Finley took the water Iris Seys had drunk earlier and drank it, sitting on the ground to rest.
