Because of his momentary distraction, Derek Brooke's return was very swift, causing Finley Sutherland to miss the opportunity for a counterattack, resulting in a tie of one to one!
"Go for it!" Derek Brooke smiled at Iris Seys.
Ryan Seys, also someone with a competitive nature, was surprised to see a tie with Finley. He patted Finley on the shoulder and raised his eyebrows, his voice light, "If we lose again, we'll truly disgrace Riveredge Middle School's title of top guys! Finley, rise up!"
Finley Sutherland held his racquet, nodding slightly, and looked at Derek Brooke's eyes that shone with a cold determination to win.
On the court, Dawn Sutherland held Daisy Grant's shoulder and chuckled softly, "Finley is excellent, he will be even more outstanding in the future than me."
Daisy Grant smiled gently, her voice tender, "But Finley has been distracted quite a few times today, chances of winning aren't high."
Dawn added with implication, "Until the end, who knows the outcome."
