Alex and Finn were exhausted, and only Fran was brimming with strength and energy. In fact, the two young men could hardly walk after the adrenaline wore off.
"C-Can you put me down?" Finn asked Francesca, who had picked him up from the ground and volunteered to carry him to the grave of the Lonely Fairy. "I can walk by myself."
"No, you can't," Francesa replied with a smile. "If you can walk by yourself, you can free yourself from my hold. So, go ahead and prove me wrong."
