Shen Xiaoting was truly surprised. So she had a husband? She was not exactly losing out because the man was quite handsome, but how old was she? She felt she was quite too young to be married!
She felt it in her bones! Does the skeleton lie?
"How old am I? How old are you?" She could not help but blurt out.
Shen Ruihan smiled dotingly, which made him even more handsome. This girl was quite energetic for someone who had just woken up from a coma.
"You don't have to worry about such trivial matters. You'll eventually know everything."
Trivial matters? Shen Xiaoting wished she could cry. How was this a trivial matter? She felt that she was a minor who had just been married off. Her mind was in turmoil.
"Now tell me, how do you feel? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?"
His voice was laced with a tinge of concern. Looking at this, Shen Xiaoting was compelled to speak sincerely. She quickly forgot about her douts. This man became her weakness before she knew it.
Shen Ruihan saw her comical appearance. What amazed him even more was the fact that she could speak clearly. Auntie Wang's hands were truly magical. The other worst-case scenarios that they thought of did not happen at all. He really was grateful to her.
Shen Xiaoting also kept asking questions, but Shen Ruihan would nag her to rest. She was stubborn, but she eventually fell asleep. She was fighting fatigue because she was curious about a lot of things, but she lost that battle at the end.

The sun rays entered through the window in the morning. With the perfect natural light, it made the view of the trees outside even more dazzling.
When Shen Xiaoting woke up this morning, the first thing she saw was Shen Ruihan's face. Calling him a beautiful man would be an understatement. She could not take her eyes off him. Of course, he wouldn't let go of the opportunity to tease her.
He even said he wanted to bathe her and help her change her clothes. How ridiculous!
She was tense because she thought he was serious. But when a woman in a nurse's uniform entered the room, she sighed in relief, and he laughed at her.
She had only known him for a few hours but now she was sure of his character. He was a shameless fellow!
She could not move much, so Shen Ruihan arranged a wheelchair for her. And now, he was taking her somewhere. She wore a simple sky blue dress and tied her long jet black hair into a bun. She felt quite refreshed after some rest. It was as if she gained a new life after being in prison for years. She did not know why, but she felt quite happy to be where she was, with Shen Ruihan.
When she saw herself earlier on the mirror, she had to admit that she was beautiful. The issue was that she was a bit too thin, so she made a mental note to eat more in the future.
"Where are we going?" She was curious.
"You haven't had breakfast. "
"Oh."
As she was being pushed by Shen Ruihan, Shen Xiaoting realised she was not at the hospital at all but a house. A big one at that. She had the time to look at the layout of the house. It was dazzling. Just by looking at everything that caught her eye, she could tell it was not cheap.
'This Shen Ruihan must be a fat cow. Holding on to his thigh might not be a bad idea after all.' Shen Xiaoting shook her head at this thought. What was she thinking?!
The room was on the first floor, so they did not have any trouble getting around. As Shen Ruihan pushed the wheelchair, he realized that he had never actually spent quality time with Shen Xiaoting. The only side of her that he knew was the one filled with self blame, pain, and regret. Now that she was free from all of that, it would give him the opportunity to know the real her. This would be a fresh beginning for the both of them, and he vowed to protect her no matter the cost. He was going to cherish every moment.
Just as they made their entrance in the living room, they caught sight of a bunch of people.
"Surprise!" The voices enchored through the room.
Shen Xiaoting was startled while Shen Ruihan facepalmed.
'Auntie Wang, that loudmouth... darn it!'
