Chapter 10 - The Talk

The afternoon sun filtered through the windows of the campus café where Yunho and Wonho sat opposite each other. The soft murmur of other students chatting and the clinking of coffee cups filled the space around them, but for Yunho and Wonho, everything felt quiet. . . like the world had shrunk to just the two of them.

Yunho toyed nervously with the edge of his cup, avoiding Wonho's gaze. Wonho, on the other hand, looked calm, but his eyes held that same gentle intensity Yunho had noticed before. . . the kind that made his heart race and his stomach twist.

"So," Wonho began, breaking the silence, "about that night... I guess we should probably talk."

Yunho swallowed hard, then nodded. "Yeah. I've been avoiding it, honestly. I wasn't sure how to even start."

Wonho gave a small, understanding smile. "Me neither. I'm sorry for touching you hyung! Even though you were drunk..."

Yunho's cheeks flushed a deep pink as he glanced up, avoiding Wonho's gaze at first before finally meeting his eyes. "I-It was my first time..." he admitted quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. His fingers nervously fidgeted with the edge of his sleeve.

Wonho's eyes suddenly widened, a spark of surprise and something like determination flashing through them. He took a quick breath and leaned in just a bit.

"Wait, seriously?! Oh right! You told me when we did it too." Wonho said, voice a little breathless. "Then… I guess that means I'm responsible now, huh? Can't just leave hyung hanging like that."

He grinned, a little teasing but full of genuine care. "So, hyung, you better let me stick around and make sure you're okay, deal?"

Yunho's heart thumped hard, caught off guard by Wonho's sudden earnestness.

Yunho gave a small, shy smile. "I'm not sure what kind of responsibility that is, but… I guess I'll have to accept help from you."

Wonho's eyes widened playfully, then softened with sincerity. "Hyung, don't worry. I'll take responsibility for this, I want to get to know you better, and I'm not going anywhere."

Wonho leaned in just a little closer, his breath warm against Yunho's ear. His voice dropped to a soft whisper, low and steady. "And does that mean I get to pursue you, hyung?"

Yunho's face instantly flushed bright red. He went silent for a few seconds, heart pounding in his chest. Then, unable to meet Wonho's gaze, he looked down, cheeks burning.

"If… that's what you want," Yunho murmured shyly.

The moment lingered a little longer, then they both pulled back, smiling shyly.

After some more quiet conversation, they finally got up and headed back to the apartment building.

At the door, Wonho turned and gave Yunho a small smile. "Bye, hyung. I'll see you soon."

Yunho's cheeks were still warm as he shyly replied, "Y-yeah, bye."

Wonho waved and walked away, leaving Yunho standing there for a moment.

As Yunho stepped inside and gently closed the door behind him, the weight of everything hit him all at once.

He took a deep breath and then, almost without thinking, he slid down the door and collapsed onto the floor, face burning with embarrassment.

"What the hell just happened?" he muttered to himself, heart still racing.

He groaned softly, burying his face in his hands.

"I can't believe my neighbor wants to pursue me..."

The words echoed in his mind, both thrilling and terrifying.

A message notification popped up on Yunho's phone. It was from Wonho:

"Goodnight and rest well, hyung."

Yunho smirked to himself, then muttered quietly, "Maybe I should change his contact name before he sees this."

He imagined Wonho frowning and getting all mock-angry.

With a small laugh, Yunho changed Wonho's contact from "Nosy Neighbor 😡" to "♡♡♡".
