Hi, I just want to say how complicated it is to create this fight.
It's difficult to write down the situation I have in my mind and convey it to you, as you may not understand or visualize it the way I intended.
I can't go into every detail, because the fight would be too slow and boring, nor can I get too far ahead, as you might get lost while reading.
Besides, Mihawk hasn't been seen fighting much, so he made it up as he went along.
I also want to talk about Mihawk, saying that this version is younger and more immature than the one in the manga, due to his age, being 27 and 41-43 in the manga. In addition to wanting to achieve his goal at all costs, he also wants to relive old memories from the past. Once he achieves his goal, he will be left with no purpose and nothing to do, gradually becoming like he is in the manga.
Finally, I was too lazy to write the names of the parts of the Fusion Sword; just a heads up.
With nothing else to say, let the fic continue.

In a training hall, two children are seen fighting with wooden swords, one blond with red eyes and the other with black hair and yellow eyes with a circle around the pupils.
Both are engaged in a fierce battle; neither is giving it their all; it is more about endurance than skill.
Not far away, a few people are watching the fight.
???: "I see that your son has great potential to take on Celestia's son," said a blonde woman, walking up to the blond boy's father. He simply nodded in agreement.
Both continued to watch the fight without missing a single move from either child.
???: "Hey, if those two brats were to fight seriously, who do you think would win?"
The man did not respond to the question, as if he were thinking about what to say.
???: "To be honest, I have no idea," replied the man.
*Present*
Dante, faced with the situation he was in, had no choice but to take a risk. Tilting his sword slightly, he made the Yoru fall beside him but gave him a shallow cut on his right arm. With that, he kicked Mihawk, who defended himself with his sword, positioning it quickly and moving a few meters back.
Taking advantage of this, Dante pulled the girl out of where she was with a little push, knowing how little time he had.
Dante: "Get out of here, quick, before..." He couldn't finish, as he was facing a downward slash, which, if he didn't protect himself, would cut his entire body in half.
Luckily, the girl listened and ran away as soon as Mihawk appeared in her sight.
Dante quickly buried the swords in a cross shape just as the sword rose upward, and using his weight and strength, Yoru was trapped between the two swords and the ground.
Quickly, Dante passed his legs between the swords and delivered a double kick to Mihawk's body, throwing him against a wall.
Dante: "Shit," he said when he realized he had flown out with Yoru; he thought it would be an opportunity to take the sword away from him and automatically defeat him.
Quickly grabbing the swords and using haki, he destroyed the first two energy attacks aimed at him, but the last one could only be held in place.
With no other choice, he sent it flying into the air, only to be left open to attack, and to top it off, Mihawk was already at his side, slashing horizontally across his stomach.
Dante blocked the sword attack as best he could, only to be sent flying through several buildings, some of which were still inhabited. And his opponent, wasting no time, launched another attack, which cut through all the buildings Dante had passed through.
Some buildings began to collapse from the damage already done.
Mihawk slowly walked up to one of the most destroyed buildings, only to slash horizontally at some large debris, only to be stopped by Dante's hand and smaller sword. Next to him were some people who had been in the building that had collapsed.
Dante's hand began to bleed profusely. He responded with another cut, which Mihawk had to dodge backwards, taking distance.
Dante quickly jumped and landed on top of Mihawk; the blow caused him to crawl on one knee due to the weight of the sword and Dante's strength.
Dante: "I shouldn't be the only one flying, you being a hawk." With that, Dante dropped his weapon, falling to the ground to use all his strength to punch Mihawk, sending him flying into a factory he knew was abandoned.
Mihawk could only block the attack with haki and his own arms, complaining in his mind about barbarian fights and not swordsmen.
Already fallen, he began to rub his sore arms, confirming that Dante was stronger than him, only to be surprised and realize that he was also faster.
Using Yoru horizontally, he blocked Dante's full-speed attack, who used both swords with a downward slash, sending him flying across the factory floor, followed by his opponent.
Outside the factory, people could still be seen running and looking at the place as it began to suffer cuts and destroy walls in the infrastructure.
There were still people around, running in circles or simply not knowing where to go for shelter.
Out of nowhere, the factory was blown to pieces; something flew out of one of the rubble piles, crashing into one building, then another, and so on, surrounded by smoke.
The rest of the rubble flew all over the place. One piece was about to fall on an old woman's head, only to be destroyed by a gust of wind.
Isis: "Get out of here; the north of the city is safer. tell the others to go there quickly." Isis' voice was heard, and the grandmother nodded and moved as quickly as she could to where she was told; the others who heard did the same.
But she just stared at the trail of destruction that continued to ravage the city, watching Dante and Mihawk fight with concern and frustration.
The blast of smoke and debris stopped inside a house, which was still inhabited. In that smoke, the sound of two swords clashing could be heard, from which Dante and Mihawk emerged.
Dante instinctively stood in front of the people who were still in the house, gathered together and frightened. Mihawk, without hesitation, launched an energy attack at him. Faced with this, he had no choice but to block it with all his strength, managing to destroy the attack so that the people behind him would not be harmed, but he was left open again, his chest cut by a not-so-superficial wound.
Ignoring the pain, he returned the attack with a vertical slash, which was dodged, and with a quick movement, destroyed the entire house.
Dante moved to where the people were, but Mihawk was already there. Pushing everyone except one who was a little further away, a boy of about 10 or 11 years old, he had no choice but to grab him with one hand, leaving him as far away from him as possible, and with the other hand defend himself from his opponent.
Faced with this situation, our protagonist decides to jump to the second floor to lose sight of the other and leave the child in a safer place. But with a few cuts to the ceiling, he appeared in front of Dante.
He attacks regardless of the child in his arms, while the other barely blocks him. But at that moment, the ceiling breaks, and one of Dante's feet falls into the void.
Mihawk responds quickly, trying to stab Dante in the chest, but he deflects it to his foot, piercing his femur until it reaches his heel.
Given the proximity, Dante punches Mihawk in the face, dropping the sword and falling to the ground with a loud crash.
Child: "Are you okay?" said the little boy who was near Dante.
Dante: "Yes, very well, in the best condition." He said cheerfully, trying to calm the child, but his expression of pain could not hide it very well.
With all the strength and pain in his soul, he removed the Yoru, throwing it to the ground, which had pierced his foot. The damage was quite serious, with his heel damaged, so he couldn't walk properly now until the fight was over. This would hinder his combat.
Believing he didn't have his sword, he relaxed a little, but out of nowhere came a power cut, which he had to block to protect the child.
Now, in addition to his chest, his sword had a large cut on his back. Faced with the rapid situation, Dante did not use his swords or haki, so the damage was real to Dante's body.
Dante falls to the ground in pain on top of the child but manages to put his hands out to avoid crushing him. However, the ground collapses, causing both of them to fall. He grabs the child by the arms and turns around to fall backwards with the child on top of him so that he does not get hurt.
This time he used haki, so the damage was less severe, but it still affected his wound a little. The child had a little blood on him, but it wasn't his, as he had no wounds on his body.
Right there, Mihawk was sheathing the small cross-shaped dagger he had at his neck to pick up the Yoru that had also fallen to the first floor.
Mihawk: "It's strange," he said, looking at Dante while doing everything he was doing. Dante removed the child from on top of him and stood up with blood on his chest, back, and leg.
He couldn't stand normally, so he only used one leg and then adjusted the one that was injured. He motioned for the child to leave, and the child looked at him and obeyed.
Dante: "What do you mean, you lunatic?"
Mihawk: "Seeing one of you so concerned about these insects is strange, like something that shouldn't be."
Dante, approaching his swords that were also lying there on the floor, prepared for the imminent attack.
Dante: "Why do you have to do it here and now?"
Mihawk: "If not here and now, then when else can I duel with you?" "If it weren't for the book that mentioned the fan club meeting you wanted to hold, then maybe I would never have found you, or at least not so soon."
Dante: 'Morgans, you son of a bitch, how I curse you,' Dante thought to himself.
Elsewhere in the city, Trini is seen giving directions to someone not far from where Dante and Mihwak are.
Trini: "Quick, go north; there's a doctor there who will help you with your injuries," she said, seeing how some were covered in blood from the rubble and falls as they escaped.
Citizen: "Thank you very much, miss," said a woman carrying a baby. Everyone left as quickly as possible for where she had directed them.
???: "Hey you, what the hell is going on?" said a woman with pink hair and pink clothing in a domineering manner.
Trini turned around only to see five people who stood out quite a bit with their clothing and appearance.
Trini: "Who are you? are you pirates?" she said, sensing danger in front of these people.
???: "Woman, you're quite perceptive. How about joining us?"
???: "Idiot, can't you see she's one of Dante's companions? You don't want to get into a conflict with him right now. We want to attract him because he wants to, not by force," said the woman with arrows on her head. "Let me introduce us. We are pirates from Big Mom. We have come to find Dante to give him an invitation to Mom's next tea party." "Now you can tell us what's going on."
Trini tensed up a little when she found out which pirate crew it was, but she hid it well. She didn't want to get into a conflict with them, especially not right now.
Trini: "Mihawk arrived and started fighting Dante out of nowhere; right now they're fighting." Out of nowhere, an explosion could be seen and heard in the distance. "If you want Dante's favor, don't get involved in this." With that, she ran off to where she heard the explosion.
The five of them stood there staring for a moment.
Melise: "What do we do then?"
Broyé: "Let's wait and watch from afar the power of the great hero and the marine hunter."
With that, they left for a distant, high place to see everything that was happening.
The entire city was in chaos; people were running around aimlessly. Buildings, houses, and shops were destroyed by the confrontation between two individuals.
At sea, a marine patrol could be seen. They had been called to the scene by Sengoku, as this kingdom was not affiliated with the world government and therefore did not have a post in the city.
Marine: "Sir, the city is being destroyed by two individuals. What do we do, Vice Admiral Doberman?"
Doberman: "Who are these two?"
Marine: "According to intelligence, they are Dante, the great hero, and Mihawk, the marine hunter."
Doberman: "We can't intervene. It's a battle between a guy who defeated the boss of the underworld and another guy who is a pirate worth 1,300,000,000 belly. If anyone here could intervene, it would be him." He said, looking back at a specific person.
Back in the fight, you can see how houses are being cut down and destroyed in a matter of seconds.
You could see Dante jumping on one foot, dodging and blocking Mihawk's attacks.
Mihawk: "Why don't you use all your strength?" he asked as he made a horizontal cut.
Dante: "Why do you use yours?"
Mihawk: "That's because you don't do the same; when you get serious, I'll do the same, because all you do is play around and throw punches in the air." "Tell me, where is that swordsman who was willing to lose an arm in exchange for cutting off his opponent's head?"
Dante: "Things are different now."
Mihawk: "Or you think they're different; that man is in there, and I know it because I see it in you. I just have to bring it out." "If I don't, I won't be satisfied with defeating you without your strength being at 100%."
With a quick movement of his feet, he reaches Dante.
Mihawk: "Swing." With that, he delivers a strong downward slash to Dante, launching him into the air, only to reappear where he was again and, with a downward slash, launch Dante again with great force, but this time onto the ground of a street with a few people, which is totally intentional.
Upon hitting the ground, it causes a small tremor in the area, generating smoke from the earth and dust along with some debris. At this, people began to scream and run away, except for one woman, who was in shock and fell to the ground, not knowing what to do.
Dante quickly moved away from where he was, as Mihawk fell right there with a vertical slash at full speed, sending pieces of earth and debris flying. Seeing the woman frozen in fear, he had no choice but to block everything that was heading towards her, but that was a mistake.
Mihawk jumped again to attack, but this time with a more general attack than a direct one at Dante. This meant that Dante could only block, because if he dodged, the woman would be cut in two.
When the swords clashed, Dante ended up kneeling on the ground with his heel cut; he couldn't keep his foot straight in this kind of situation.
Dante used all his strength to stop the attack, as it was not aimed at him but at the woman, who was lying on the ground crying, watching as Yoru got closer and closer to her.
Mihawk: "I'll wake you up by force; you're not a hero, you're a swordsman who fights alone and for himself, just like me." "That's how we were trained, don't you remember?" he said as he leveraged his sword with his palm on the hilt, pushing up from below, and with his other hand pushing down from above.
Dante: "SHUT UP, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!" his scream was heard as he tried to keep the sword from slipping toward the woman he was trying to protect.
The ground where Dante stood cracked; he bit his lip, making it bleed. Mihawk began to apply more force, using his body to add more weight. And suddenly, something fell.
The blow to the ground created a cloud of smoke and dust. Mihawk emerged from it with his yoru covered in blood, wiping it off with a sudden movement toward the ground. This movement created a gust of wind that cleared the smoke from the area; he then looked over at Dante and the woman to see where they were.
There on the ground, she was bleeding from a fatal cut across her chest; it cut almost her entire body, and next to her, Dante was holding her hand.
The woman, in her last moments of life, looked Dante in the eyes to convey that she did not blame him for what had just happened. She tried to touch Dante's face, but halfway there, she lost her strength, and her hand fell to the ground. There lay her lifeless body, in Dante's hands. And he just stared at her, his eyes covered by his hair.
Mihawk: "Vez, you're no hero; you couldn't save her, so come to your senses and go back to being that—" He couldn't finish, as a great burst of Conqueror's Haki came out of Dante and went straight at Mihawk.
Dante stood on one foot and turned to look at Mihawk with a cold, murderous gaze. If it had been collateral damage from the fight, he wouldn't have cared so much, but this was intentional, just to screw him over, so he would make him pay for all this regardless of the consequences or the cost.
Everyone on the island felt the wave of haki.
In the northern area, Arthur was sitting down, using his fruit to try to heal himself faster, but the moment he felt Dante's haki, he immediately stood up, ignoring the pain, and went to grab his spear, but when he was about to lend a hand, Sulli stopped him.
Sulli: "What are you planning to do?"
Arthur: "Help Dante."
Trini: "Are you going to help or get in the way?" At that moment, Isis arrived with a girl behind her, along with three grandparents and an injured man.
Arthur: "What are you saying?" he said, a little angry.
Trini: "From here I can feel Dante's emotions, and he's furious; I sensed someone near him, but she's already dead."
Sulli: "So that's everyone."
Trini: "Yes, there's no one except in the castle; the others left by other routes, so there's no one in the city but Dante and that pirate." Then she looked at Arthur: "If you go alone, you'll prevent Dante from fighting with everything he's got, or he'll end up hurting you in some way, so you can only stay here, just like the others."
Isis: "Can't you go help?" I ask Trini.
Trini: "Not in this case. They move around a lot and fast, and there are many obstacles that block my vision. My guns need range, and the AT needs to stay still for a few seconds."
Arthur: "What about the people in the castle?"
Isis: "They didn't want to leave, claiming that the castle was the safest place; I tried, but they didn't listen to me."
Trini: "There's no other choice but to watch and be prepared for when the fight is over," she said, looking at the place where the haki was coming from in the city with a look of concern for her younger brother in everything but blood.
