I could almost taste my own pain.
Everything felt bland and tiring at first. But after the news of losing my baby, it all went still. Levi had this worried look for the very first time as I was still trying to process the grief.
My pregnancy was the only good thing I was holding onto. It was a reminder of what was, what I have been after. I finally got it, and the universe found a gruesome way to take it from me without a warning.
"I don't get what you mean?" I half yelled.
Scarlett was at the entrance with tears in her eyes, and Levi was beside me. His hands sank into his pockets as he stared at me. I looked at them, expecting some kind of explanation for what I just heard. Levi sighed, reluctant to share any kind of light on the issue.
